I mean most sane people on this board (and fans for that matter) never really had an issue with Penny's ability. He was a little raw on the blocking and schemes in his rookie year... but his running generally was always very good.

Problem has been his injury history, but that's just kind of what it is. Is it a 'bust pick' ........ eh IMO not really. A bust pick is someone who just never proves ANYTHING on the field (whether that's off field issues or they just flat out SUCK when healthy and on it). It's just a "Wish he could've stayed healthy."

Are we going to call Bo Jackson a BUST because he couldn't stay health? (And no I'm not comparing Penny to Jackson, but you get my drift).

Also hindsight might be 20/20, but Penny never had any injury issues in college.

You're right, which is one of the reasons I liked Penny over Chubb.

In hindsight? Woops? But is what it is. If you play the hindsight game in the draft, you better admit when you were a jackass vs. a God analyst. I hated Wilson, loved Wagner and graded them accordingly.
