After carefully thinking over all other options, this is my #1 replacement for Bo PeLLLLini

Frost:

• understands Nebraska.. the state and football.. more than anybody else
• played for and coached under some of the best football minds ever
• isnt retarded and will actually hire a staff of competant coaches who wont lackey onto him
• can and will go all out in recruiting
• would fit perfectly in with our other 2 of big 3 coaches.. Erstad n Miles
• will be here for life
• will constantly strive to get better.. vs being stubborn with square peg

Honestly yea theres some risk involved here, but I gaurantee you 100% that this shitshow weve seen 20 times from BoP elini would never happen under Frost. Hes one of the fastest rising assistants out there, and I believe hes got the stuff of champions in him and would know what to do for our program. Hes got zero head coaching experience, but so what.. neither did TO at first. None of our other options are likely to have NATTY potentisl that Frost may have.

Ducks can have him til December I suppose

... and then I woke up

I just don't his first big gig to be us

If we get rid of bo were saying we don't anything less than a return to the elite or top ten team

Now ill take him at OC for a couple year then I can see

But this a big decision he (AD) needs to sit down now and start looking at what he wants as head coach

- we need a coach that can recruit
- that can coach up
- can make game adjustments
-experience
-try to avoid inexperience

I like Scott frost but weren't happy with 9-10 wins so we need top name or experience coach

Sleeper pick art briles!

I like the art briles one. He can recruit Texas like no other, but RGIII made him. Weary of that.

Scott Frost's experience is very similar to Pelini in that he has had the top recruits to work with. Great players make anyone a great coach but it takes a truly great coach to make anyone a great player.

We need someone we know can develop talent.

Scott Frost can. Stop comparing him to Pelini. Frost is a man, not a child and will strive to be the best, not square peg a failed system for 10 years

LOL, we got to resort to name calling if we decide he isn't the right man for the job?

I am done with Pelini. He is not the coach for Nebraska but he certainly isn't a child. He is a good man who had is place in Husker history. That time is just done and he needs to go.

He has done some classy thing while here.

edit: and His demeanor was what everyone loved about him 5 years ago.

He's treating his job like a child. Not changing the system, hiring lackeys, not firing useless coaches.. avoiding anybody and anything that would disagree with him.

Bo is great at developing men though, I will not argue with you there

He's got an ego. I myself have been stubborn and refused to change when the need was evident. Don't consider myself a child,

just glad in hindsight that I have a wife who will kick me in the ass when I get stupid.

If Frost is the best we can get then I'm all for it, even if it were a pack of hot dogs I would be 100% in support of the change

Would be interesting to see how he recruits with out Nike backing him

all the other options being thrown out scream mediocrity to me (outside of Tressel)

Briles, Fitz, Franklin, Shaw (pipe dream)

haven't won anything, and no reason to think they wouldn't consistently field 2-3 loss teams here. Got to take a chance and strive for greatness.. not settle for marginally better

Either one would be welcome to coach, I will support them fully

And hey if they don't work out at least we know how to put them to good use
And we can get brown mustard for DC and chow chow for OC.

Really the longer Bo and his staff stay here our the more our hiring pool shrinks and the worse our recruiting gets, our national perception could not be worse, but the season isn't over yet so that's a stretch

Frost has an amazing network of coaching. Worked under greats, played under a great.

Frost after this year will be a big name for smaller programs, no doubt. But Frost is a competitor, and if he knows Nebraska may open up, he will wait for that job. Nebraska is the only job that will take Frost away from Oregon.

Frost will be a great HC, you might just have to go through a couple of building years with him. But don't think he gets outcoached over and over.
