You have to realize the reason we didn't get a good college football coach at the time Callahan was hired was due to Pederson's personality...period. We don't have that to deal with now. And if you remember correctly good ol' Stevie boy was hired here because HE had Nebraska connections. That qualifier in and of itself guarantees nothing. The only "outside" hire we've had in 50 years was Devaney and he didn't turn out too bad.

If we get rid of bo were saying we don't anything less than a return to the elite or top ten team

Now ill take him at OC for a couple year then I can see

But this a big decision he (AD) needs to sit down now and start looking at what he wants as head coach

- we need a coach that can recruit
- that can coach up
- can make game adjustments
-experience
-try to avoid inexperience

I like Scott frost but weren't happy with 9-10 wins so we need top name or experience coach

I agree, stay away from inexperience!!! That was why I didn't want Bo.

Frost will be a head coach somewhere in the next 4 years. Just don't know that I want that to be at Nebraska yet.

Not sure if that was directed at me but I am one of the few that never wanted Bo from day one. Never ever thought this experiment with him was going to pan out. I hoped and cheered and prayed that it would work out but never believed it would.

It is gameplanning and scheme with some players that were recruited for that style of play.... FAST.

Frost would kill it @ Nebraska.

I'm not bagging on Frost but I don't know that the recruiting success he and Oregon has in any way translates to Nebraska. Granted I know zero about Frost's recruiting skills

I don't really believe the Kelly offense will work at Nebraska. The weather gets too damend cold for it to be effective. Secondly, and this is the more important issue. Do we hire someone that knows his old programs offense/defense (like Frost) or do we hire someone with the knowledge that can coach the talent we have up another notch (a proven commitiy).

What Osborne eventually figured out once "powerball" no longer was completely successful @ Nebraska was to recruit individuals that were quick off the ball. Going with Frost and the Oregon philosophy, you'd need alot more speed on our team. And that's one thing I don't think we'd see alot of recruiting wise regardless of who the HC is.
