yep, most of us didn't see it with McNabb, not even as a stop gap.

the few arguing for McNabb was relying on his past performances, way past.

This was really their only option. Their season is going down the drain so why not get Ponder in there to gain some experience?

true, its not just McNabb, its combined with the pressure to play a high draft pick. every fan base in this situation would want the same.

A day earlier than expected. Makes more sense- develop your QB of the future, because your season is fucked anyway.

I'm hoping ratboy Shanahan keeps Grossman out there for one more week. It will save me a fantasy football headache.

I still don't know why we still have Baalke as the GM. All of his moves backfired, while all of the moves from the BSPN Clown Car are leading their teams to new heights. Baalke is a joke for passing on McNabb and Kolb.

Let's go get Baalke... who's with me??

Fire Baalke now!!!!

Maybe now we can trade the Vikings our #1 pick for McNabb, maybe two 1st rounders for McNabb he took the Eagles to the NFC Championship game like 4 times and the Superbowl once.

not to mention baalke's other horrible moves like passing on asomugha for the inexpensive carlos rogers, or drafting aldon smith (who is that guy?), or not immediately signing (and overpaying) goldson, or not re-signing aubrayo franklin. what is with this guy, he doesn't know what he's doing. he definitely needs to go

How about letting starter quality guys walk.. Like Nate Clements, Manny Lawson, Takeo Spikes... Then trading Mays, a second round draft pick with freakish speed, for next to nothing... Yeah... Get some rope and string up that bum

Just goes to show that it's more about Reid's system than the actual QB in it.

Vick is probably the only legitimately talented QB he's ever had.

I must have missed those conversations. I would have bet against such a precipitous decline in his skills. I like McNabb, but I am glad we don't own a contract on him.

Yeah imac, myself, probably clyde, and Sick have been anti McNabb for years. I thought it was hilarious when the Redskins traded for him. He was already done at that point.

no argument on Vick, cause his passing skills got much better.

but will disagree a little on Reid's system, you still need a good QB to successfully operate ANY system. McNabb is downhill NOW, but he was good "back in the day".

again, just a little cause there is merit with some systems suiting certain QB's better. we have our own example in Alex Smith.

He was Steve Young's QB coach in college

You don't think McNabb was ever a talented QB? I think that is a little harsh.

Is Andy Reid is an all time great coach for accomplishing all he has with untalented QBs?

So far so good with Baalke, who would have figured? I didn't like the fact that he had been part of so much failure but I have been willing to give him a chance.
