How good is ATL's D is the question. They've given up some points, along with scoring alot of points in the last 6 games.

Dead last in Red Zone defense in the NFL, is massively alarming to me

We know New England will drive, it will be imperative that some of those drives end in FG's and not all TD's

The Pats defense is good. Lots of teams have good defenses. That doesn't equate to elite and it certainly doesn't equate to historically elite.

It's going to be good enough. Combined with their own A+ offense, more than enough to send you home crying.

Here is something you have going for

You can make the argument that New England went against one or 2 good offenses this season

One of them (maybe the only one), Seattle, went up and down the field all night on them

Id bet Quinn is looking closely at the tape from that game

Atlantas D is not very good but is playing better. If you want a real idea the DVOA for the Pats D is 16th in the league, Atlantas is 27th. In other words the Pats D is slightly better than average while Atlantas defense is below average. There's all kinds of ways to look at adjusted data and more recent data that show both defenses playing marginally better over recent games but the truth is neither D is equipped to stop the other teams offense. That means the outcome will come down to what team makes more mistakes

And that was the first game after they jettisoned Collins to Cleveland.

They are much more cohesive now.

But you do realize that you could possibly be in trouble.. Worst red-zone D is not good

Listen the Pats defense is fine but ultimately this isn't Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bryce Petty, Matt Moore, Ryan Tannehill, Tyrod Taylor, Landry Jones, Cody Kessler, Colin Kaepernick, Jared Goff, Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler they'll be facing. It's not even Joe Flacco, Andy Dalton or Carson Palmer. It's the likely league MVP with a plethora of weapons at his disposal. Atlanta is 100% going to score 30+. The likelihood is so will NE so it should be a hell of a game

Just make sure they don't video tape your walkthrough.

Atlanta isn't going to do anything special this game on offense. The Falcons use motion and formations to create the matchups they want to exploit. Them they utilize the best group of skill position players in the league to take advantage of those mismatches. The problem for NE is they just don't have the requisite talent to stop it from happening. You can scheme all day but when the guy you're covering is bigger, faster, stronger it's really irrelevant. NE offensively will need to be more worried than Atlanta because apart from Edelman and maybe Lewis none of their skill guys is more talented than the man who will be covering them. More experienced? Yes
More talented? No

I had 88-80 in the other thread based on how the fans of the two teams viewed this Sunday.
Maybe the over/under on total punts is 3

Trust me BB is doing something. Fucker had the 2001 Rams GSOT walkthrough and who knows what else. They found a way to stop us. They had our fucking plays! That offense was pretty good too.

Yeah it's not just about the players and their talent. Atlanta runs more motion and different route combos than any team in the league with the ability to run 2 or 3 different combinations out of each set via check and all the wideouts and backs can line up at any position so you can't really travel a CB because them you're asking all 4 or 5 of your DBS you know 100+ different formations, motions and route combos and not only at their position but every other position too. It's literally impossible to learn in 2 weeks. It took the offense 18 months to iron it out. That's why all this talk of what the Pats are going to do with Julio is hilarious because Julio will be lined up 50+ different ways come Sunday with 150 different route combos out of all those sets. Like I said what Belichick does is irrelevant because even if you could scheme something up to "stop" what Atlanta does you could never teach it in time. What slows Atlanta down is pressure from the front 4 and not simply pressure via "collapsing the pocket" because Atlanta utilizes a moving pocket with their zone run scheme. You need pressure and you need to get home OR you need to hope Atlanta stops themselves. That's really pretty much it

Since Brady returned from suspension, Atl was #1 scoring team at 33 ppg, and NE was no#2 at 30 ppg , so a 3 point difference. 3 more days till judgement day

Sure they cheated besides the walkthrough they roofied your faggots Warner, Faulk,Bruce, Holt ,Pace, SJ76 etc..

You know why else they lost, because they were too fucking cocky, they had already won the SB in their minds.
Pats were a 14 pt dog, went out as a team and slayed the Giant. Fast forward to 07, Pats are 18-0 also 14 ppt Fav, figured it was a cakewalk and took Giants too lightly

If people want to pick the Pats that's cool. But for the love of God please stop comparing this year's Pats D with Seattle in 13 or Denver last year. They're not close to the same. New England's defense isnt even as good as Seattle's or Denvers THIS year lol
Every year it's different. If the Pats shut down the Fabulous Falcons will you consider them elite? Or will the narrative be: "Atlanta offense just did not play well, they beat themselves," blah, blah

Absolutely. New England has an elite offense. That's why this will be a shootout imo
