Reimold isn't exactly hitting lights out at AAA right now, but he is sporting a pretty good OBP despite a .250ish average and has stolen 3 bases. Some think he's a great defensive player and I was never of that opinion. He looked lost out there and completely blew reads on the ball in LF and took poor routes. Maybe if he's actually healthy he might look better out there. There is no questioning his power when he's healthy and he does hustle all the time.

I say if he gets on a hot streak in the next week or so you call him up. What could it hurt? Lough is replaceable. De Aza isn't going anywhere because of what the O's are paying him.

nolan doesn't do stupid shit to lose a game for you . i would think moving him up to the majors would spark him and don't forget some of that aaa pitching is better than majors . plus norfolk for a rhh is a tough park to hit in . at this time young is hitting a little but no power , lough and dearza shouldn't be on the team . so there is room for nolan . so save nolan

Like I said, I'd like to see him get on a hot streak and then call him up when he's dialed in. Lough can be cut at any time and then De Aza goes to the bench as the 4th OFer. Like I said, the O's are paying him way too much to just cut him. I think it was a stupid move on their part.

Young will hit for power here and there, but there is no place to play him full time with every body else we have on the team right now. Right now there are a slew of guys that are bat first and defense second guys that you'd like to hide at DH or at least rotate through that slot: Chris Davis, Steve Pearce, Jimmy Paredes, Delmon Young, Travis Snider.

man snider has looked lost in rf which is nolan place . i remember when nick was pretty bad in lf.

And Nolan had his misadventures in LF as well. You'd think that as a CFer in the minors primarily that he could handle the switch to LF, but he had issues.

Nolan has some talent and some positives to his game, but we can't ignore the negatives. He's not exactly the cure all for this team's woes. He is spotty on defense, you really don't know how durable he is, and you don't know what you'll get out of him in a full season because he has yet to play one.

If he heats it up soon in the minors then I am all for bringing him up and giving him his chance, especially if we continue to get almost nothing from LF and RF.

well the duo did it again today giving up atleast 2 runs . deaza came in on a ball over his head and young threw to wrong base with no cut off man . while nolan is 2-3 . we owe nolan a true shot .

Fair-weather fan moment of the day:

Top of 2nd: Oh good, we scored first.
Bottom of 4th: Yikes, Norris fell apart again. Maybe Matusz should have started the game?
Bottom of 5th: Or not...

That being said, one could argue that the lack of offense is a bigger issue than pitching right now: Over this past week (including today's game so far), the O's scored 3.06 runs per 9 innings while giving up 4.32 runs per 9 innings.

That Beltran homerun really rattled Norris I think. I think he definitely needs to go to the bullpen to get some confidence back and try out Gausmann as a starter. Not like he can do much worse than Norris has been thus far.

I wonder how long their going to hang onto Jason Garcia for. 2.1 innings yesterday 4 walks. For the season 13.2 innings 11 walks 9 runs. Seems to have very bad control issues.

we could replace almost all the bp from the minors and be better except the only one would be britton .
