Again...irony. Buffalo has been getting away with cheap-shotting Philly for much of the season and Ruff has a history for 'whining' himself so this whole thing is just ironic to me. I'm not supposed to point that out I guess though.

You have every right to your opinion, but you should also expect that not everyone is going to agree with your opinion.

You can't throw out statements that you deem are facts on an open message board and not think no one else is going to think differently than you?

The bottom line is that both teams have got away with shit on the ice, and both teams have received a good amount of penalties, deserving and undeserving.

I think overall this series both teams are pretty much the same in PIM's and have had around the same amount of 5 on 3's, so I really can't say that one team is getting away with everything, or that the refs are only calling it one way.

Whats ironic is the "Broad Street bullies" have turned into the Broad street babies. I mean damn, We won a cup beating people up and now the playing fielded is leveled so we need a reason to complain.

They never complained when they beat teams to a pulp to win the cup and now they have an opponent that will not back down and it's talking about cheap shots and coaches whining. That is extremely ironic.

You will probably win the series and kudos for that but at the same time complaining about the other team being too mean is hilarious!

I am simply amazed that people have no grasp of irony or hypocrisy.

I don't think Buffalo is too mean. They may be cheap, but they're still pussies. I'm just pointing out how hypocritcal Lindy and Miller are. They call Philly whiners but then go on to cry themselves. It's just funny. I don't expect Sabers fans to agree with me. I really don't care. It's just my opinion.

You don't see one key difference though?

When Philly decided to complain about the refs, and say that the Sabres are getting away with murder, they were at the time getting more PP's and 5 on 3's at that point in the series.

The Sabres are talking about losing a player to a dirty hit and the hands of a player that has a history of dirty hits, but was complaing a few days earlier about the Sabres getting away with murder.

At least the Sabres are complaing about something that actually happened, and something that the League has said they want to crack down on. Not just complaining for the sake of complaining.

You mean just like the guy who wrote the articles that you keep posting in this thread?

The guy who says that Ruff is a being a whiner for saying the League should look into a dirty hit, which is what they are suppsoed to do, but then goes on to say that he also thinks the hit was dirty?

If a hit is dirty, wouldn't you think that the League should look at it?

Holy exaggeration, Batman! This whole media spectacle is getting blown way out of proportion. Playoff hockey is intense and emotional, and sometimes that energy spills into a postgame interview. You go to war for 60+ minutes, and come out on the wrong side, you are going to be a little peeved. I don't blame Richards or Miller. It's been a whirlwind of a series.

And to be fair, Richards doesn't REALLY have a history of dirty hits. The only one people could bring into question is the David Booth incident - and at the time it was a legal play. And yes, his hit on TC should have been a major.

All I know is that the word "whiner" is going to be used the same as "overrated" has been for some time now.

Being a fan, we are not privy to all the things that go on during a game, and we only see and hear what we want to see and hear.

It's easy for us to pass judgements on players when we are sitting on our asses at home behind a computer, and we always want to assume that our team is never guilty of doing the things that we bash other teams for doing.

Bottom line is that it's a game, and while you may be a passionate fan, you have to realize that there is more to life than simply venting your anger and frustrations out at strangers over the internet.

And if the Sabres lose this series, I will suck it up and E-shake the hand of every Flyers fan on here without any ill intentions.

Is it too much to ask for the same in return?

No, sir. If the Sabres prevail, I will be doing the same thing.

I don't think anything has gotten out of hand except the typical bickering between fans who love their teams. I have never said anything bad about another fan (this series). I do think officiating was bad this series. Fortunately, we both have horrible powerplays that have negated the bad calls. Only thing to complain about is the amount of lost time even strength time.

Nope, it's not too much to ask for. My beef is with Miller and Riff, N
not with the other passionate fans of this message board. Please, don't take my comments on here personally. I just love the Flyers and am hyped about the series.

Then show me exactly what part of their comments you consider to be where they are whining.

I am just curious now.
