Ruff says Flyers whining

Hmmm...weird thing most people don't think it was that dirty...at least not dirty enough to receive anything more than a penalty.

Even Buffalo's beat writer didn't think the hit warranted a suspension.

I never said it was worthy of a suspension but it is certainly reason to complain, I thought for sure it was a major. In any event it was a dirty play and this isnt his first.

Buffalo has had it's fair share of dirty shit in this series. They refs haven't called crap. I guess everyone missed it when the door to Buffalo's bench was purposely opened so that Zherdev would fly into there or when Hartnell was cross-checked seven times after the whistle right in front of the ref, etc. Neither of those plays resulted in a penalty. I could on but it wouldn't do any good.

Thank You Ely. I have kept quiet on this and looked at the replay at least a dozen times. I am not wearing rose colored glasses because if people check check the GNT in the earlier game I said that the elbowing 5 min penalty to Richards was too much. BTW, so did the Buffalo "homer" announcers.

But this hit was shitty IMO because he took advantage of a play (with a history of severe concussions)) that was off balance and drove him into the god damn boards head first. Watch the replay for christ sakes.

I agree with Miller who was livid after the game saying, "Richards complained about us getting away with murder, what was that? Mass murder?

It was a shitty hit plain and simple and now our top three PK killers are out of the series.

Most of you know me and I normally don't bitch about shit like this but damn it I have seen on other sites where even Flyers fans have said they were shocked he got away with only two minutes.

This is how the series has gone. Like I said before remember when Hartnell was cross-checked 7 times after the whistle? They ended up calling a roughing penalty on Harnell!! Remember when Ryan Miller decided to punch Carcillo in the mouth and the refs ended up calling a penalty on Carcillo!?!? The refs have been garbage so I don't want to hear any crying crap from Buffalo. It sucks that Connolly got hurt. No one wants to see a player get a concussion but it just amusing to hear Lindy and Miller crying so much when that is what they accused Philly of doing.

Excuse me? Ruff when asked about the hit on Connolly said "it's playoff hockey lets leave it at that" Ruff did NOT whine or complain about the hit. Please don't accuse him of something he didn't say. I am complaining about it and Miller a player that hardly EVER says anything about that are.

Like I said I have seen comments on other sites (CBS Sportline) for one where FLYERS fans said they were surprised at no major penalty.

I guess I havent heard all the crying you seem to have. All I saw were post game comments. Maybe our ideas of crying are way different, but I think Richards comments were more of the crying sort.

It really looks like Richards holds him and then throws him into the boards so that he doesn't kill him. Sounds like a homer opinion, but Richards could have murdered him if he wanted to. Instead he grabbed him to make sure he hit him closer to the boards.

And does anyone really think the first thing in Richards' mind was "This has has concussion issues, I'll think I'll knock him out."

Honestly, I'm all for both teams whining at this point. The officiating has been dreadful. It's either let them play or call everything fair.
