There hasn't been a thread posted yet. Someone posted a game thread for the first game, but I figured I'd post a thread for the series.

Probable pitchers for the last two games of the series:

Chris Young (29.2 IP 3.03 ERA) vs. Yordano Ventura (36.0 IP 2.00 ERA)

5/11/14:
Roenis Elias (41.1 IP 3.27 ERA) vs. Jeremy Guthrie (46.0 IP 3.91 ERA)

Can we get someone, ANYONE to switch to SS and send Miller packing? I mean how fucking bad do you have to be before this team finally gets rid of you? I swear I can't take much more of his appearances at the plate. I really can't.

Yes. Much worse. He's made 3 errors at SS in 12 starts in Tacoma this year. Giving him reps at the MLB level would be moronic.

Work with Miller or put Bloomquist in there. Those are the only options right now for the M's.

i know franklin isn't a SS, but man it's brutal watching Miller stand at the plate. They need to trade for someone or do something else other than keep pushing him out there. It's just embarrassing.

Yeah, SS and the outfield, both offensively and defensively, are going to continue to cost the M's a lot of games.

Options for fixing all of it are limited, though. It's frightening to think of what Z might trade away in desperation trying to salvage a winning season with this doomed team. Be afraid.

Good finish on the game. Another great pitching performance and other than Miller more positives than negatives in the batting. 7 hits isn't a lot, but it's better than what we have been doing lately.

Bring Franklin back....he can't do any worse than Miller who I really like but see is way over his head right now.

I truly believe Miller is a better player then Franklin. However Miller is mental wreck right now which is preventing him from doing anything right. A trip to Tacoma wouldnt be the worst thing but there isnt a better option right now either.

For everyone clamoring for Franklin, there is a reason he was moved from SS. He isnt good there. Also forget his AAA batting average please. The PCL is a hitter's league and we have seen multiple people rake in Tacoma and come up here and do nothing. Montero is raking in Tacoma to fyi, it doesnt mean much.

I see Chris Taylor as the best choice there going forward but he isnt ready. He may get a cup of coffee this year and compete next spring to start there.

if you're talking about plugging him in at SS, I might consider tuning in to see that disaster.

anyhoo, brendan ryan's back from injury, and making some starts at SS, spelling jeter. if they make it deep into the postseason, it will be interesting to see how yanks fans react when/if girardi chooses ryan's defense over jeter's.

yeah, taylor will be good, i think. i've been watching a lot of the rainiers on MiLB tv, and that kid can play. watching franklin play ss with tacoma is like watching a deer walking for the first time. he's just awkward.

They need Franklin in there over Miller right now, I know cezpool doesn't like it but he doesn't know the difference between fastpitch and baseball. Franklin nor Miller are SS's, so you have to take the lesser of two evils.

Brad Miller is just in a really bad slump. I like this kid's potential. Also would like to see Franklin get some playing time, but there's just no spot for him on the roster. It's not like he continued his hot hitting streak when we brought him up to the majors again.

Rough inning in the field for Seager. Elias gets 3 earned run out of 4 but really he should have been out of that inning had Seager fielded those ground balls correctly

3 errors and 4 infield hits along with a broken bat hit.

Elias is doing his job forcing ground balls and soft balls hit but we just can't field properly today

And on our end Cano has had two balls tattooed both ended up being outs and Smoak hit one a long way right at the center fielder too
