Second straight game they have a poor start...only difference is Fleury didn't stand on his head. The special teams is what will hold them back. Sure, we had a great PK, but even great PK's let in goals after 3 PPs in a short period of time.

No. Martin completely whiffed on an easy puck and it led to a 2-1.

That was a bullshit period. Pens came out completely flat. With a shit powerplay and not a lot of firepower, you can't let yourself fall behind 3-0.

Fleury hasn't been particularly bad, but maybe pulling him isn't a bad idea. Send a message to the rest of the team. Wake the fuck up.

First goal was a horrendous pinch by Letang on a 4 on 4, second was a powerplay goal where Letang tried to body Vinny out of the crease (yeah...that'll work. Take the stick), and the third Martin left him out dry and didn't get back in time to take care of the rebound.

I agree, I wouldn't fault him on either of the first two, they were by no means soft goals.

They also commented on CBC that the lightning were practicing that exact scenario of rebound goal with a low shot far side to create a rebound out front that resulted in the third goal.

Michalek played it pretty poorly too. Dove at the guy with the puck...if he kept position to take away a pass, he would've been in good position to move the rebound. He was counting on Martin to get back though. Both of them missed that play.

It can be effective but they don't set it up well at all.
