Good win by the Mavs.

Parsons played well and Rondo looks like his old self.

Westbrook is the ultimate agony and ecstacy player.

Sometimes I just want to ring his neck..6-23!

Should have kept going to Ibaka.

Monta was just as bad ...hope he's okay.

With Durant it would be a little different. Congrats to the Mavs.

Hmmmm, not that bad of an offer.

I'm sure including Nash killed it.

Los Angeles Lakers (Record: 9-22; last week’s rank: 22): The Lakers’ best trade offer for Rajon Rondo was Steve Nash’s expiring contract, a first-round pick from Houston and two second-round picks, a source said. Yahoo! Sports

The big deal with the Mavs Mecca was the trade exception of $13M and Wright. In essence, Celtics can protect impending free agents Birds rights with a sign and trade and draft picks with that $13M tool. Thats probably the biggest diff plus they made sure the pick was 2016 not 2105 (better chance for higher pick and already 3 round 1 picks in 2015). Wright will get them another asset as well.

I think only Randle held value, and that would have been risky too. Mavs deal seems better

Yeah, all things considered, the Lakers offer was a good one. Expiring contract that will free up about $10 million in cap space and picks. But Boston already has a boatload of picks. Pretty soon you have to start getting actual players and I think that, plus the exception, made the Mavs offer better.

Although word was that Mitch insisting on including Green with Rondo was what killed it. Is that wrong?

I just dont see what the value in Green would have been for the Lakers. Green is just a "good" player helping a team get to the top like Cavs or Clippers. Not a player I could see LA coveting in the near term

I would love to have him.

There are changes coming in Lob City.

The players are not getting along....at all.

Right now, the Lakers are "auditioning" young guys to see who will be kept for the future, who will be traded and who will be released. I think the idea was to bring in Rondo, who obviously would have been the first top player added for the future and Green comes along as one of those solid, dependable role players that every championship team must have. So it wouldn't have been so much about right now, as 1-3 years from now depending on who else they get via FA, etc.

By far:lol:

He played a hell of a game against Westbrook.

How is Monta?

Hope it was a minor injury.
We need Monta to keep on rolling. Hopefully he'll recover fast.

Danny boy was high thinking the Lakers would include Randle. That's a trade which would never happen. The Mavs deal was certainly better.

You may want to check the protections on one of those 2015 first rounders. Don't think the Celtics will be getting it.

Rule they wont get the Sixers first rounder, which means two second rounders (which mean little to me unless in top 40)

Biggest issue is they cant roster all these picks, round 1 or two. They now have ownership in D League team as a minor league system BTW, just inked I think last month
