Burrow was moving the Bengals up n down the field in the 1st half, and they left 7 to 10 points on the field before he was injured. After he injured they did nothing and the Skins started blitzing his replacement.

I would've preferred RR stuck to what was supposed to be the original plan of development with an eye towards building for the future. As opposed to chasing some bullshit NFC East crown that won't mean anything of substance. With the only real accomplishment it will get the Skins is picking further back in the 1st rd. They don't any better either. Aside from games against the Cowboys. They've looked really bad in the 1st half of every game. Committing turnovers and penalties, taking sacks knocking them out of FG range, missing FGs, teams drive up n down the field on them taking double digit halftime leads. Every half ass decent team they've played this year has put a foot in their ass.

RR's decision to go with Alex not only this year, but next is a tough decision. Tough on the Skins and it will serve little to no purpose. Except hold back that development for the future that was supposed to be the main goal.
We’ll just have to see how it pans out, but you’ll never convince me that if the reports are true RR shouldn’t have benched Haskins

that's why i think DH is done here . and that being said drafting a qb within the next 2 years is in play . but i do think half of our fa's have played well for us at low cost . . and yes i still feel we arent a good team . i want us to win as much as we can but a BS division title with a losing record costs us more then its worth

I agree that DH is done here.

We will find out Monday if we are in fact improving or if the last 2 wins against poor teams is just that. We are a bad team that can only beat worse teams.....sometimes. We don't have to necessarily win Monday, but if we can be competitive against the elites of the league, that will be improvement.

Good point! We have been playing against the little kids lately but our next game is against the grown men. Let's hope we show up.

I dont think DH is done here.
I think RR is behaving like an alpha dog, which he is, and which he should.

Like Bill Parcells once said, “If I am going to cook the meal, I should have a say over the ingredients,” (or something to that effect).

Apparently RR benched Josh Norman for over a year until he got with the program, and this was BEFORE Norman became an all-pro cb that fleeced the WTF out of a boatload of cash.

I see no reason to think DH is any different.

Certainly a POV I hadn’t looked at and a valid one

But we really have no idea and more importantly, proof, that the reports are true. Absolutely none. And RR didn't merely bench Haskins. For all intents n purposes RR tried to put him out of commission, perhaps permanently far as this season goes. I'm not sure whatever Haskins did warranted that. Giving Allen all the first team reps for the week and the starting gig against LA that Sunday wouldn't have been a bad 1st step discipline. RR tried, or at least one could surmise this to be true, end Haskins season and likely would have if not for Allen's injury.

Breed, you dont know shit. Dont worry young fella, neither do I.

Josh Norman knows. He was benched for the better part of a year by RR then regained his position and became an all pro.

Norman went from starting 12 games in 2012, to compiling zero stats and starting zero games in 2013, to starting 10
Games in 2014.

Here’s a thought: any talk about RR ending Haskins career might be a little premature?

Super interesting that RR did this with Norman. Creates a different framework for some of his mixed messages when added to our FO and Danny Boy.

Young fella eh. I like that. I'd like even more if it were true. So you're comparing what RR did with a mouthy Norman who had already played for RR for a year To what he's doing with an inexperienced Haskins who RR hadn't coached at all till this year. Interesting.

Here's another thought. If you're gonna try n tell someone that their talkin out the side of their neck. Make sure you know WTF you're talking about cuz if you don't. It just makes you look triflin. I didn't say RR tried to end Haskins career. I said he was gonna end his season and would have if Allen didn't get injured.

Allow me to repeat once again, Dwayne Haskins is still the future QB of this team.

I agreed with you my friend when you said no NFL football would be played this season and we were both wrong. I'm not disagreeing with you about Haskins being the future QB of this team although I'm just not as sold on him as you are at this point. I guess we will just have to play wait and see.

I'm not sure if playing NFL games meets ethical baselines and I'm still concerned about the influx of CO-19 currently among the ranks. On top of that, there's a sort of normalized messaging received by the masses as the games continue to be played.

You're correct though, the games have been played and for better or worse, I was wrong about that.

TBH, no one knows how good or disappointing Haskins will be, but I own an rock solid belief in human ability to become better when they know better. In that light, I take the position on Haskins not because I have some insight into his future abilities, but because so many have already given up on the guy without giving him the benefit of opportunity that is common for players drafted for the same purpose.

Perhaps fans/followers/supporters of this game take on a pizza mindset (30 minutes or less) but as you've mentioned before, I (we) come from a different generation that informs us that sometimes time and patience yield better results.

More a lack of comprehension than semantics. I wrote something specific and you failed to correctly comprehend it for whatever reason. Pretty big distinction between ending a player's season and ending a player's career. Especially if that player is just in his 2nd year.

I've never had a problem admitting that I am wrong about something so I was wrong about no NFL games being played this season.

Now as far as nailing last years Redskins record a blind hog can find an acorn once in awhile.

The truth is that we are all Monday morning QBs here when it comes to predicting even one day into the future. We try to make our cases but most of the time an unknown factor shows up that destroys our case.

Las Vegas doesn't spend millions of dollars to put the bright lights in their sportsbooks because they are losing money if you know what I mean.
