My rationale is simple.

Romo, like any other quarterback, will play better when his team plays better.

So Romo's not accountable for any dumb decision he's made with the season on the line ? It was the team not playing good that made him throw the ball right to the defense... Gotcha...

He is imo.

Without Murray, the Cowboys can manage, without Romo, they're fucked.

None of the high end teams can manage without their QB. He's having a great year but the O line is playing great and Murray keeps the D off the field.

Not a top 4 MVP candidate IMO but still having an outstanding year. Proving lots of people wrong.

Yeah he is, but he wasn't in the MVP discussions those years, was he? 31 TD's and 5 picks and over 70% since week 1 when he was nursing his back says it all. Someday when Seattle's defense isn't as strong and they are blowing 10 point 4th quarter leads, we'll see if Wilson can play flawless throwing into prevent. D's. It's pretty rosey when your D only gives up 14-15 points a game and you get to throw from play action all the time

In Romo's defense, he's had a shit O line most of his career and by the end of games, late in the season ,was usually beat to hell and running for his life. Yeah he's made some bonehead decisions but I have to factor in the bad and say it wasn't all his fault, just like I'm factoring in the O line and Murray now in saying I would't put him in the top 4 MVP this year

Its a close race and think playoffs will determine the guy. If Rodgers ,Romo Manning, Murray, Brady or Wilson get their teams into the SB with some big games see that guy winning

The playoffs shouldn't determine this. It's an end of regular season award.
