I don't think he deserves it as there's other QB's having better seasons but I never understood how everyone was so quick to throw him under the bus when Dallas had problems. Yeah, he's had his bone-headed moments but the Cowboys implosions of past were pretty much a team effort. And did anybody really think that there was some guy on the street who could walk in and do better? He's #3 all time passer rating and it isn't like the Cowboys were ever bashful to throw the ball since he's been in there.

He's been really a pretty good QB, just not a championship QB, but his team was mediocre at best those years as well.

His numbers are surprisingly good-several years ago won a FF championship with him at QB. He had really good numbers that year, just not NFL winning abilities in crunch time.

Maybe he can change that narrative this year, with numbers that are not world beating, but playing much more balanced and under control. Plus, he has a much better team around him, maybe most importantly a play caller who's not an idiot.

He has 32 TD and 5 INT since week 1 with a 118 QB Rating and 70 percent completion percentage. That is unbelievable.

Let's see who performs in the playoffs. That is much more important.

He is a runner up but definitely not worthy of being chosen over Rodgers or Brady just in the quarterback group.
I disagree.

He is out of control right now. He has arguably the best QB stats this year. Rodgers really was not that impressive again today. 1 TD vs Tampa in garbage time, really? He has not been the same player on the road this year.
330 yds, 1 TD and 0 INT sounds impressive to me.

Demarco Murray is an MVP candidate. Tony Romo isn't IMO. He's been really good this year and I'm really wishing right now that I had played him over Brady in my FF championship but MVP is a bit extreme

Murray is the run away winner. Who would 2nd Brad or Rogers. Romo should be in the top 5 talk with MVP this year.

Russell Wilson is the MVP because he does not have the help (Dez Bryant and Demarco Murray) that Romo has.

But that .... and not to take away from Romo .....

Unlike some teams, the Cowboys have not had to rely on one guy to get where they are at. The emergence of Murray in the run game has opened up opportunities for Romo and the passing game. The huge improvements in the o-line and defense have also helped. And, never thought I'd ever give him any credit in this manner but, the maturing of Dez Bryant has been a huge benefit as well.

Cowboys are doing this so much as a team that it might be hard for one individual from that team to get MVP.

Murray ran away with this MVP. I don't see anyone close to him. Brady maybe 2nd with rogers right behind.

Romo still has to go out and make throws and good decisions. In December he has 10 TD's and NO INT's. I don't get your rationale.

My rationale is simple.

Romo, like any other quarterback, will play better when his team plays better.

Seattle's D and Beastmode doesn't qualify as help?

Nothing wrong with having help but I rarely see him fuck up.

And as I said somewhere else his total yards running and passing equals Brady and Manning.

I'd love to see him get smacked but he seems to avoid those too.

For sure he is in the conversation.
