lol, sounds like Rivals was a real shit show.

Our mods here basically help you merge duplicate threads, fix titles/polls and whatnot after the change lockout happens, maybe move a thread if you meant it to be somewhere else. They don't go all climbing up peoples asses and throwing ban hammers around. Why the fuck would people put up with that bullshit to begin with?

I don't really care about the ban. The fact that you use your position to bully is my beef. A thread titled "dirty old man Garrison Keillor" and you go off on a political bent when that is clearly against board rules. I call you on it and you tell me to leave the thread if I don't like it. I respond like any normal hot blooded person would and tell you to FO...you then blackball my account.

All these sexual harassment cases are basically about people using their "power" to bully others. Similar to what you do without the sex.

I know what you do...I'll take my ban and consider my right forward this to others. You have no business being a Mod at times.

It's not a personal attack. You should know by now that political pandering is the one thing that sets me off. I attack anybody who does it outside the political thread. Occasionally, but rarely I'll go up top and drop something because it can be fun, but refrain from doing it in the main area. The topic is just a bomb set to blow up the peace of the board and that is why it is and should always be off limits. As a mod...you need to be extra careful, it sucks, but that is the role you choose. There is nothing personal in this at all. Regards...

I seriously feel like shit for going off on Rocks so hard. That has been brewing for many years. Unable to let loose on him because it would have meant a permanent ban...or would before the yellow badge. Just avoided him since I've been paying. I think it helped he wasn't around for the past year. But man...what you read is how I feel. Just don't know if it was something to be publicly aired. Forgive me.

Oh I get hanging out because that's where your friends are. I'd have probably still found a way to move everyone vs playing that over mod bullshit game. Those pay sites and sites that promote other services kind of have to have more control than most would found reasonable. Then add in human nature and how vague the lines can be which makes 'some' mods go too far and you have a shit show.

We all came here from somewhere. The site was founded after a mass exodus from ESPN like 9 years ago or something. Bunch of us came when CBS shut down their open forums in favor of whatever the hell they are doing now. And so many more have happened since. But CBS wasn't anywhere near as bad as Rivals sounds like, even if they did block adult language and have some examples of heavy moderating.

Fuck all that shit. Be you. Stop letting others control your 'free' time and spaces to chat.
