I really don't have a problem with them fining guys for wearing non-league approved stuff. Nike, love 'em or hate 'em, paid a boatload of money to have the rights to be the exclusive team apparel company for the NFL. Adidas did not pay that money to the NFL, so they don't get to have the "free" publicity for the certain amount of time around game-time that is set aside by the NFL. I don't have a problem with Robert breaking that rule, either, as long as he's willing to pay the fine (or having some other entity, like say...Adidas reimburse him the fine amount).

Looking on other sites and chat boards and I tell you what, I really never realized how much people hate RGIII, they must all really be nervous about his coming back and dealing it again, the Broke back Cowboy fans are the worst too....

I love it - it means that RG3 & the Redskins scare them. On the other hand - I cannot blame some of the fans of other teams. Sources like ESPN go way overboard on the coverage of RG3 & a handful of others. Even the slightest comments from him or Shanahan are presented as breaking news - it is ridiculous. I would probably be a little irked if I rooted for another team.

I used to work at a video store when I was a kid. And we'd always be able to choose something for the big screen in the back of the store to watch. Michael Jordan's come fly with me was on my regular rotation. And RG3's competitive drive, determination remind me a lot of Jordan. Jordan also went through something similar with having to rehab early on in his career. A lot of parallels in that regard.

Hopefully with the same results.

I couldn't agree more. In my opinion, he has been way over exposed. He has great potential, but at the end of the day, he has only played one year. He may very well turn out to be one of the best. Or he may turn out to be Bo Jackson, out of the league in a few years due to injuries. I personally would like to see the constant coverage of every word turned down a bit and just focus on getting ready for Philly. That may be happening now, I see he will not hold a presser this week.
