I have to laugh when posters suggest all of these easy fixes. If it is so easy why didn't anyone implement any of this last season? RG3 was basically stopped by one person - RG3.

There was scheming and re-scheming last season, the Redskins got better as the season went on. These fans seem to think that Shanahan Sr. and staff have gotten stupid overnight, that they've shot their collective wads, that the well of offensive scheming has suddenly dried up. The detractors most often miss the simple fact that adjustments to the d scheme to stop the Redskins offense will be (and already have been) met by adjustments to the Redskins offense to defeat the new d schemes (as Shanahan Jr. made clear a month or so ago) ... think squeezing a balloon. To paraphrase one of the more toxic shitheads that used to infest the ESPN boards from Cowpoke country "oh, everyone else got smarter, but the Redskins didn't???" ...

giddyup.

You say RGIII is smarter. Good decision throwing into triple coverage last night.

I do not know who you are quoting, but most of us are wanting him to play smarter and get down or out of bounds. As far as the throw in Mondays game, it was a dumb throw, but at that time nothing was going right and for some reason we were pressing to do something and he had the play called and he let it go. The real problem is that he was playing tight (understandable for someone that has not played in a live game since January) and tried to force the ball and did not get enough on it to lead Santana instead it was thrown short. If he would have lead Santana then it would have probably been over thrown and incomplete. This will come with time. So if you are trying to stir things up well better luck next time.

Has an original thought ever crept into that brain of yours? You are by far the lamest poster here.

Name me ONE, I repeat ONE starting QB in the history of the NFL that hasnt made an ill-advised pass in their career?? And to be honest i dont think he was throwing into the coverage so much as going over it, the ball came up short. Which happens from time to time when a guy is trying to get his feel for the game again after an injury. Four yards deeper on that ball and its a walk off TD. Bad plays happen. But what you fail to take into account is, he never took an ill-advised hit. He played from the pocket for the most part and did very well once he got into a rhythm even with Philly bringing stunts and blitzes. It took 3 turnovers to beat this team buy six points. IM not too worried, but I can still see why you would be even though Washington lost.

Glad to see that you are at least a little calmer & more objective now. Sorry that you had to go through so much time & expense to watch the game - especially the 1st half - the other night. Here's to watching a complete game by RG3 this Sunday.

RG3 isn't playing anywhere to the level he did last year. It's not physical, its his decisions that are poor. His INT this week should have been thrown away 5 steps earlier. He is forcing some passes and locking in on some receivers. These were normal rookie mental mistakes that he never made last year.

The good news is that he looked much more mobile this game than the first 2. I think he is starting to feel comfortable physically on the knee. I'm not ready to give up on him, I think he just has to play through this slump. I also think that Kyle has to help him out with the play calling. We have got to give the ball to Morris more. The guy is an absolute beast and he churns up the clock (as well as yards), keeping the opposing offenses (and our defense) off the field. We also need to get RG3 in space more with rollouts and bootlegs. I don't get why we call the pocket passes when our OL can pocket protect.

RG3 is getting better. He ran the ball more and we are converting 3rd downs. We need to run the ball more up the middle to be able to use the play action better, but he looked sharper and we only had 2 3 and outs, but we moved the ball better. A couple of penalties took away some nice gains or this game could have been different. We now go to Oakland and then the bye week. This is where we turned out year around last year.

However the defense is horrific. Can't wait to play ya. Looks like a sweep for AMERICA'S TEAM this year.

Easier said than done. Teams tried last year and with film on the scheme towards the end of the year, the Redskins became better and better at it. Not the other way around.
I totally disagree. He only looked good last year because of meeting injury riddles teams at the right time last year. Now that most teams are healthy, its a different story. Keep living on last year's over-hyped and over-achieved year last year. Its all you will have for another 18 years.

Think about it for a moment.....

Alot of Cowboys fans either openly or secretly hope for RG3s career to be injury riddled, or cut short by injury.

Every Skins fan I know, or have talked to was practically giddy when Romo got his extension. We wish him good health and hope he plays out every second of that contract.

Wonder what the difference is?? OH yea, RG3 scares the shit out of Dallas fans.

Romo... makes Skins fans laugh.

Now carry on.
Can't speak for other Cowboy fans, but he doesn't scare me at all. I hope RGIII, Shanahan and your wonderful defense stays together for a long time.

Don't ask Blue Jersey to think, he's gonna hurt himself.
Speaking of thinking. The comments made all summer of how the foreskins are the class of the NFC for the next 10 years. I just laugh now at the lack of thought in that statement. Can't wait to beat your asses this year. LOL, LOL, LOL, >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

were you even born when this happened ? you are crowing about an injury that happen over 20 years ago and we are obsessed ? :laugh3:

i agree with shark , you hope Rg3 gets hurt because you have no hope of stopping him:10:

oh by the way ace this response belongs in the smack talk thread

use the thread or you will be gone
I only bring that up because it was a great day in Dallas and made Redskin fans miserable. No other reason. That would really hurt my feelings if I got banned from the redskin forum. My life would be ruined.

14m Esiason: "It’s mind boggling how Washington’s owner, coach and doctors are just not protecting RGIII from himself" http://wapo.st/15t6E28

Pretty silly comment but what would you expect from an egomaniac like Boomer. How exactly was Snyder going to serve in this role? Even if he tried the entire media would jump all over him.

What role exactly does Dr. Andrews & his staff serve in all of this? I see no evidence of anything physical that should have resulted in RG3 not being on the field. Ridiculous.

As for the coaches. Again - what should they have done differently? They were pretty much crucified by a lot of the media for not playing RG3 in the preseason. Now some of the same folks are jumping on them for playing RG3. No doubt - if Cousins played instead & fell short they would be calling for Shanahan's head.

It is so easy for these media loudmouths to play Mon morning QB & second guess every decision. In the end - it happened & it is now up to RG3 & the coaches to learn from their mistakes.
