[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX4PVfm8N1s]Robert Griffin III Post Practice Press Conference: Oct. 30, 2013 - YouTube[/ame]

IMO - RG3 appears quite a bit different in this press conference. He is subdued & for the first time I can remember he does not want to fix everything himself - he is stating the truth - everyone needs to step up. He rightfully calls out himself but the issues go beyond that. I also like that he tried to downplay the tea company question since he realizes it is just another thing that will cause the media to paint him in a bad light.

He almost seems embarrassed which I believe bodes well for the future. I am pretty sure that he will do whatever is possible to make himself a better QB over the next few years.

Works for me. I was almost going to post this somewhere else anyhow. Since the # of recent posts in this thread is minimal I agree that you can shut this one down. Thanks.

Wow. Sally Jenkins just called Griff, "an unteachable know-it-all" in her article. Jeez. Way too harsh IMO. He's a young guy, you gotta cut him some slack and give him some time and patience.

Really - who care what she thinks - she is beyond irrelevant. I don't read it much lately, but it appears that the WP still has "Redskins Hating" as one of their main missions.

Nobody expected Griffin, in his second season, to look like Peyton Manning. But his lack of discernment is striking compared to, say, his peers Andrew Luck or Russell Wilson.

Because the OL on these 3 teams makes this such a great comparison. I'm sure she would have us go back to Beck/Grossman because atleast they would be self deprecating. Hey Sally, come back and talk to us when you've played ONE game in the NFL.

It's the kinda work I've come to expect from the WaPo. Only writers I even read over there anymore are Bosswell & Steinberg.

44m[/ame] Oh cool Sally Jenkins just called RGIII "an unteachable know-it-all." [URL="http://t.co/2VMqzfS3Lh"]http://wapo.st/16oR6Af

Fuck the RGIII HATERS! :stfu:

Agree. Also SBNation, Bleacher Report etc are written for morons. They are all written in grade school format with nice pictures and very little useful content.

I'll agree with Bleacher being a poor source for information.

But SB is a quality source. Hogshaven has plenty of quality pieces. Bulletsforever for the wizards is also very good, if not better.

Not sure why you guys are getting so bent out of shape about the article for. If you read the article it explain that people are hating on him because he is talented. :noidea:

perhaps since the snyder era the washington post has trotted out a bunch of redskin haters from kornhieser , to la canfora to reid to wise to jenkins .

they are in sell papers mode and truth be damned .

and charging 10 bucks for the website is a folly

slowly but surely the WP is losing credibility .

Rg3 is having a regression because of the hard charging rehab and lack of a football learning oriented off season .

we are 2-5 and the bullets are flying . we as fans had high expectations but we drank some kool aid too myself included

lets see what happens as the season goes on and how the reporting changes with it

Love Green, but I question what he considers good leadership. I'm not in that locker room, but if you guys remember far back enough he and Chris Samuels were HUGE haters of Marty Schottenheimer and the way he "lead" the team and part of the reason he was let go after one 8-8 season. Oh, what might have been.

That was a really interesting segment. I have a lot of respect for Darrell and his words have a lot of weight. I don't know how much he has been in the locker room as of late, tho. But he brings up an interesting point. Who is the leader of this team? On the surface, you would automatically say RG3 and London. One defense, I think that London is well respected and most likely the guy they all listen to. But on offense or on the team overall, is it RG3? He's clearly the face of the team, but does he have the respect of the team? I ask this honestly, because I don't know. I would assume they do, but could some of them be sick and tired of the RG3 media blitz over the last 2 years? Possibly. Could if affect how they view RG3? Also possible.

In any event, RG3 needs to be the leader on this team. So if Darrell is right and there is an issue there (I'm not sure there is), Shanahan needs to address this. Because one of the things good leaders do is when times are tough, they rally the troops to accomplish more as a team that they ever thought they could as individuals. And this has been a problem of ours as evidenced by our multiple 2nd half collapses over the last few weeks. We need leaders to emerge and rally the troops.

look at this board . when we lose everything is bad about the team when we win well then the tune is different

One of my all time favorite Redskins but he isn't close enough to the team to know what is going on.
