The point was ( I guess it got lost by some ) back then some thought Simian had a good shot to be a " STARTER " as any of them but some laughed it up and said no chance. Here he is the starter. Honk honk. :)

You spelled his last name wrong again. (I guess that gets lost by some too) at least get your starting QB's name right, Honk honk. :pound:

My biggest worry about Siemian is interceptions. He only had 3 more TDs than INTs in college and he's thrown a couple this preseason. If he wants to keep the starting gig, he's gonna need to throw the ball to the opposing team a little less.

On a side note, guess who's working a night shift on Sep. 8th when the Broncos are kicking Cam Newton and the Panthers butts?

Guy is just very very raw, but I hope he kills it. He wasn't well developed at Northwestern as they didn't ask him to sling it a lot. He came into the NFL very underdeveloped with decent tools it just seems so early for him to start, but we don't have much other option. Get Paxton ready ASAP.

I think the coaches are just hoping he plays ok enough until Lynch is ready, obviously if he plays better that's great for everyone but realistically I think they just want him to play it safe so Paxton can learn.

He is going to win and you don't sit that down . We are gong to have a really good problem . He is a really solid QB for the amount of playing time he has had .

Let's not get ahead of the game. He has to prove he can win before we start giving him games on paper. Hopefully it is a problem. But Lynch is the long term future unless Siemian turns into the next Tom Brady which sadly, I am pretty sure isn't going to happen. (But Ill give him that chance). I wouldn't call him "really solid" yet. He has to prove himself. How about we phrase that. Siemian has looked pretty solid in his short time we have seen him in preseason for the amount of time he has had to prepare in the NFL as a starter, we are hoping for the best.

I am all for Siemian being great/doing well, but I think some of us are forgetting how tough it is to play the QB spot in the NFL for 4 quarters with blitzing teams, audibles, adjustments, etc... Let's calm down and see what he does before we call him the next big deal at QB. I am willing to give him that chance, but I wish some of us would relax a bit before we give ourselves wins on paper.

I also like that if Siemian does well the people who have tried to stay calm and aren't quick to call him a "great" QB will end up bombarded "I told you so, I told you so, you hated him. I was right. You thought he sucked"

We are only waiting to see more of him before we are ready to call him a great QB not getting ahead of ourselves. We are all rooting for him and we all want him to be great. If Paxton Lynch never has to see a down in a Denver uniform because Trevor Siemian is so great, then that is fantastic. But I am far from ready to predict that.

Everyone here is willing to give him a chance, but we just simply want him to prove himself more then a few PS games before we are ready to do cart wheels with him as our starter.

P.S.- The less excited I remain about Siemian the better chance he has to succeed anyway.

How did you find that one?

If you click on the smiley face icon it will bring up a section of smiley faces and so on but also has a section called "Secondary". It is under that one

@Dr Cyanide 28 why are you trying to get my hopes up that this kid could be something more than I think he is going to be?! That article on the 5 intangibles especially just makes me a bit more giddy than I should be at this point in thinking this kid could do well. Have to remind myself a lot of these things happened in preseason when teams are not game planning. Really hoping this kid does well but just trying to keep my expectations low.

CD it is damn hard to get at a QB that can move the pocket as he does.. He is going to win .

I really hope you are right. I'm slowly coming around to the idea but just afraid all my excitement could be for nothing. There are things that say this kid could be good and there are things that have me worried still.

Someone claiming we are going to win games because Siemian can move out of the pocket really means nothing to me unti he proves it.

I respect your opinion Crash, but when it comes to the NFL I need someone to prove it to me before I am all in. It's all about proving yourself, something NFL players have to do each and every week. I am not saying don't be excited about him but lets put on the breaks a bit here and hope he can prove himself. Kudos for him for winning the starting job but he has a lot to prove if he wants to keep it. Personally I feel he is a stop gap, but I'd love if I am wrong and he is a 7th round gem. I am giving him a chance because he deserves that, now we wait and see if he can prove himself.

This is a HUGE stage he is on. Is he up for the challenge? We will soon find out. But in reality none of us have an idea how well he will hold up without much to go off of. The same could be said about any young QB, but perhaps especially Siemian because he was very limited in the offense he was in during his college experience.
