The NFL should hammer them.

- multiple early draft picks in the next two or three drafts.
- Belicheat should serve a suspension (next year....not SB)
- big monetary fine

They have shown a pattern of behavior. It's time to punish this type of behavior out of the NFL once and for all.

Some would argue this should have happened with the last cheating episode.

But, your assumption that they used the same balls is false.

Each team has their own set of 12 balls to use during the game. When your team is on offense, you bring one of your 12 balls out and the refs go to your sidelines to get new balls.

They do NOT use the same balls.

It benefits the Patriots. It's a classic cost/benefits analysis. In a game where likely the only way the Colts could win is by Patriots turnovers, deflating the ball helped the Patriots keep from fumbling. i.e it was worth the risk.

They lost an early draft pick and got fined the last time. This time the punishment will be harsher. The nfl has always punished harder for repeat offenders.

Belichick paid a half million fine and they lost a 1st round pick the last time.

My over/under on this one is one 1st round pick, one 2nd round pick and two 3rd round picks and Belichick will face a 6 game suspension.

This is not true. Each team brings their own footballs. The footballs have the team logo on them so they know which team owns them.

I'm hoping for the same outcome? If it comes out that someone intentionally did this I will be disgusted. I will wait on the actual findings before I cast judgement.

If it was 1 or 2 I would think the same but 11 out of 16 is beyond random.
