Well - don't care about the reason - Cousins is just flat out worth the extension & most likely will be on the Redskins roster at least thru 2018. If this team were healthy they would be a force & certainly w/ a few tweaks & better luck will also be a force next season. IMO - Cousins needs to be a part of that mix. Call him clutch, choker or whatever you like - he needs to be their QB - end of story.

BTW - as a comparison let's look at the great Matt Ryan - last year's MVP. His team has the same record as the Redskins & about the same amt of pts. His stats are worse than Cousins thus far this season & he has way, way more weapons & I believe an O line that is intact. Point being that things change & you can't even bank on the fact that some of these hotshot young QBs will do well every year moving forward. A lot of it has to do w/ weapons, health & luck.

You just have to find your guy, have faith in him for the future & pay him. No brainer.
