Probably going to get some hate but Dak is too high for me... I'd rather have 5 or 6 QB's over him beginning with Goff, Lawrence, Carr, Jones, Geno, Cousins, Stafford...

Purdy is too high as well...
The thing with Dak is a lack of consistency, altho he's good a lot more than he is bad. And when he's good, one could argue that he's a top 5 QB. But when he's bad, one could also argue that he's a bottom 10.

Not really, I just didn't feel like commenting on every single QB that's ranked here. I do like Brissett tho and was kinda hoping the Bears would ink him, altho it would have been strictly as a backup. And I feel he's earned the right to at least try to win the starting job.
I meant to quote koy, but I agree with your answer

Goff is the only one that I think can be argued above Dak right now but even then he was a laughing stock to people prior to last season. Geno has to show it more than just one season in his career. Please on Daniel Jones, he has gotten so overrated it's absurd. He has potential to coninue to improve under Daboll but he isn't better than Dak yet. Just isn't. Carr is so middle of the road, maybe he can elevate himself to a top 5 QB in the NFC but I would still take Dak over him. Dak's ceiling is much higher than Carr's. Winning matters and at the end of the day Dak can consisstently get wins more than Carr can. Cousins and Dak are kind of the same but Dak has more success in the postseason and I can't discount that. Neither has much but it is what separates them. Stafford as I mentioned earlier in the thread I think is just washed at this point in his career. A lot of wear and tear and he isn't young.

Lawrence though is the tough one. And I went back and forth on that one when putting this list together, maybe the toughest one to decide Dak or Lawrence. I think Lawrence can absolutely surpass Dak in the very near future but in that sort of tie breaker I give Dak the edge since he has done it for substantially longer. I also think it's worth nothing that Dak has had to deal with terrible HCs his entire career whereas Lawrence last year and going forward has the luxury of Doug. Counter to that he also had to deal with the god awful Urban as his HC in his rookie year that could have done all sorts of damage but it's a huge benefit to Lawrence to have Doug when Dak has McCarthy.

Sounds like you think brissett will start over Howell? It wouldn’t surprise me if he did

Saw you meant to quote me.

I don't know. Lot of different odd factors going on there in DC. Gun to my head I would guess they give Howell the chance to begin the season as the starter because he is the young guy and the unknown upside until he shows what he is. Along with the new OC that can bring some excitement to the team. That said I think Brissett as the known is the better QB. But he's a very low ceiling solid game manager. Howell I would have ranked as the 32nd starter but who knows, maybe he lights it up and for that reason I think he gets first shot at it and if he flounders then Brissett steps in.

Based on the history of Koy the most surprising thing on this list is his admission that Mahomes is better than Hurts

For now. But Mahomes is in his prime and Hurts has yet to enter his.

For Dallas haters?
Yes
I don't dislike Dak at all... He seems like a cool guy but he just doesn't seem good when the game is on the line imo... He honestly reminds me of a Jon Kitna type of a QB... Looks flashy at times but then doesn't produce well when it matters...Outside of one or two seasons, I've really never thought of him as a top 9 QB in the league...

I agree with you. So many better, none more so than Geno...as you've said.

Dak was a laughing stock last season, no?

Yeah last season. Goff has been a laughing stock for repeated years since he was God awful in the Super Bowl when the Patriots/BB rolled put the strategy to wait until communication from McCoy's headset to Goff's helmet cutoff after 15 seconds and then switching up the defense to completely co fuse Goff.

I think the excuse for ranking Dak that high could also apply to Russell Wilson. Yes, he's become a diva and was awful last season and no, he isn't a top tier QB anymore but his history says he's better than that shit show last year would suggest. I expect a bounce back this year under Payton if Denver can stay healthy on the Oline, RB and get more balanced and consistent. Even as much as I soured on RW the last couple years in Seattle, I would still take him over quite a few others.

Allen is way too reckless with his passes. He had some really bad interceptions last year, especially in the red zone. I can't put someone who consistently makes such bad decisions higher than Hurts when Hirts is coming off a season where he would have won MVP if he didn't miss two games and then had a historically great Super Bowl performance.
Allen played 16 regular season games last season. He had a grand total of 14 ints. That comes to less than 1 int per game. If you look at his other seasons, Allen's biggest strength was NOT throwing ints in the red zone. Also, Hurts had a running game AND had two elite wide receivers. Buffalo had none of those. It's was the Josh Allen show, and that was the issue.

I agree with that although I don't think WR is really as much of a problem as having no real running game outside of Josh doing his thing. Cook looks like he may be okay at times but Singletary really hasn't shown he can be the guy they need. They can't have Josh running the ball like that all the time. Watching it, one just worries about a serious injury. Not trying to jinx him but it's scary.

Good enough for one less than the league leader in interceptions. They weren't bad luck interceptions either but pure bad decision interceptions.
