I don't know who was bashing it on here. Everyone bashed the trade, but they caught flack for using their remaining picks on 3 small school players and a safety that just got over a broken leg. Nobody that I saw graded their draft higher than a c.

I practically started this thread to point out that draft commentary is in accurate and useless.

Oh...I took that to mean Hoopsters were bashing it...I think the trade is still fair game to be honest, but they did what you have to do when you make a trade on this level...make the picks you have remaining work.

I can't speak for his intent, but I do know the Bears' draft was universally shat upon by pundits en sech, a lot of which was obviously due to the trade, but having 4 of 5 picks from D2 schools got them a lot of flack too.
