The trade up was god awful when you have capable QBs as a backup plan. I’m 100% bias but never understood the Trubisky hype coming out of college over a guy who racked up over 500 yards vs a loaded Bama defense two years in a row but we concern about Watson’s “ceiling”In all due fairness to the Trubisky pick a myriad of pundits pegged him as the first QB to be selected.

So it's not like Pace was the only one who thought he would blow up to be a superstar. Mostly all the "experts" believed he had a higher ceiling and greater upside potential. Looking back now it seems obvious but hindsight is always 2020.
