M's haven't controlled their own destiny for the playoffs for a very long time. I've been looking at this site for the past month. They haven't had a magic number in any slot for wildcards or the division. Every slot has always said DNCD (do not decide destiny) or an X.

Officially eliminated. This was a slow and painful outcome season with a collapse of epic proportion after having a 10 games divisional lead.

the guardians are playing the astros over the weekend to close out the regular season for both clubs.

that's a potential ALDS matchup if the astros take out the tigers in the first round of they playoffs as projected right now.

but the tigers have gone 9-2 over their last 11 games and play the White Sox to close out their season. talk about a confidence boost. Hoping they can OBLITERATE the Astros in R1.

it's a pretty exciting postseason shaping up for the AL.
