1) He is not the face of the franchise. That would be John Elway or Von Miller.

2) I've never said that Talib is a good guy. I've said he has been smart when legal issues come his way. He is a great player which is the only reason he still has a job. I don't cheer for the name on the back of the jersey I cheer for the one on the front. I don't have to like every player on the Broncos but I do appreciate his contributions on the field.

3) You really think Aldon has done plenty of time for his crimes? He actually shot a man. Some of the things he has done carry a 10-year prison sentence. Yet he got to go to rehab and have probation. Not saying that Talib hasn't deserved more but come on they have both deserved a lot more than they have gotten.
No that would be Miller and Talib who most out side of Bronco fans see as the face of your franchise..

No cd, you do cheer for Talib and support him.. As long as he does his job right cd??

And how the courts handle these cases outside of the game is a different story..Im talking about Talib with a history of shooting at people and continuing to play.. And you are ok with that cd??

Again, Aldon did his NFL time, suspended for a year!! I would say that's fair would you not?? And yet Talib gets to play the whole year after being shot, and with a history of gun violence.. So would you say that's a double standard cd??

Talib has possibly shot at somebody once. And it was a BF of his sister's that was beating her. When Talib found out he went over the confront the man and the fight got heated and some shots were possibly fired. The BF though had a long track record of lying to the courts and was found to not be a reliable witness of what actually happened in the situation. The only one accusing Talib of actually firing shots was one that had lied to the courts on a regular occurrence. Other than this latest incident that either Talib shot himself or some guy ran by and shot him then ran off there has been nothing else gun related.

I support Talib's play on the field. That doesn't mean I support Talib the person. Every team has "bad" guys playing for them. I get that I can't expect every player on my team to be angels. That is why I cheer for the Broncos so any success they have on the field is the Broncos success. So yes I cheer for Talib to do well. That doesn't mean I support his off the field issues.

And no I don't find suspended for a year good enough for threatening to blow up an airport, actually having shot somebody, having been found with illegal guns, hit and run. I mean do you really want to line up what Aldon Smith has done compared to Talib? I can promise you it doesn't look good for your guy. Talib has been a great citizen compared to Aldon Smith. To me Aldon Smith after shooting a man should have been kicked out of the NFL.

Also just a couple of things on the fair or not situation. 1) The Talib situation is still being investigated by the NFL. So a suspension still could be in the works. The NFL waited until the police investigation ended. They do this quite often. Heck they've done it with Aldon Smith. Now since no charges were brought up against Talib that does make the NFL's job much more difficult. The law of the land right now says that the only story they have is that some guy ran by and shot Talib then ran off. The NFL is stuck in a very difficult situation because if they accuse Talib of having shot himself they are going above the courts and are going down a slippery slope of possibly suspending a player that was walking through the park at the wrong time.

2) Aldon Smith was found guilty in the court of law. Or I guess on many of his charges plead no contest which is pretty much a way of saying "I know I am guilty but just want a lesser sentence." So that makes the NFL's job much easier to punish him. He also failed drug tests administered by the NFL. So when you put guilty in the court of law, guilty by the tests the NFL runs, and even guilty by his own team telling him GO GET HELP! yeah there is a difference in the two situations. Just because you think both are guilty that is just an opinion that isn't supported by the actual courts. Doesn't mean that you are not right but again that is why these 2 situations are so different.

Now you reaching cd.. Smh

Talib shot at people and that's against US Law!! With the intent to murder!!
Then he's in Texas all loaded and gets shot!! Yet again there's that gun violence Talib is known for.. No matter how you try to sugar coat that cd, you just can't change the fact that he has a problem with gun violence, as well as being an all around punk!! Put all the words up you want, you ain't changing that fact..

And i always find it funny when people say?? Oh, i don't support him but im still rooting for him!! What does that even mean?! Smh.. That reminds me of all the people voting in this election.. Oh i don't support him, but im voting for him!! Lmao

And again cd, i told you about Aldon.. That dude has been a punk as well!!
But the difference here cd is Aldon done his NFL time to the tune of one year!! Now, if the dude messes up again, then cut his azz, ban him or whatever!!
Talib on the other hand skates on his issues.. Remember, Talib has a history of gun violence, and got shot before this season started, and gets to play.. What do you call that?? Never mind you know..

What it means is I don't support every part of what Talib stands for. Just like for me I am not a fan of divorce. Doesn't mean I hate people that are divorced. It just means that one part of their life I wish I had been around to help them through it and see if we could come to any other conclusion than that. For Talib I love what he does on the field. Possibly the best Cornerback in the NFL this season with how he is playing. So I appreciate that part of who he is and how he is helping my team. That doesn't mean I agree with everything he stands for or has done.

Just like with you Idaho. I don't like the fact that you are a Raiders fan. Doesn't mean I hate you because of that one part of what you stand for. I like you as a person just not every part of what you stand for. Not sure why that is hard to understand.

And history of gun violence? I guess walking in the park getting shot by some guy running by means he has a fun violence issue? So if I go walking in the park and get shot are you going to say I have a gun violence issue? Yes Talib has that one incident with his sister's ex-BF. I'm guessing you maybe don't have sisters. I have two. I had one that was dating a terrible guy that did some terrible things to her. My dad called me to tell me what had happened and told me it was time for me to be man of the family because he was planning on going to prison after he got done with this kid. If you know my dad he wouldn't harm a fly unless it comes to somebody hurting somebody in his family. Thankfully my dad stayed on the phone with me and I talked him down but family makes you do crazy things.

Understand that is not me saying that what Talib did was right. I think he made a stupid decision. I also understand though when it comes to family logic sometimes goes out the window for a bit.

I just want to finish up of this subject..

Talib is a bad person with a history of gun violence and a punk on the field.. He should of been suspended for the year, regardless of whatever you have to say.. He put people in danger as well as himself..
Now i would of had no problem if they suspended him for some games, but to walk away clean is just another black eye to the league..

Aldon Smith done his NFL time and is ready to play.. You see that's the difference..

You realize the NFL is still investigating his case right? Nothing has been closed and suspension is still very much an option. The NFL almost always waits until the police are done with their investigation and well that didn't happen until about 3-4 weeks ago. Then the NFL had to turn their attention to the whole Josh Brown situation so my guess is Talib got put on the back burner. I'm hoping they either make a decision quickly so if he is to be suspended it happens in the next few weeks instead of right before the playoffs or they wait until the off season. So just have to wait to say this is another black eye on the league until everything is actually finalized.

As for Aldon maybe he has done his NFL time. I've seen players suspended for the same length as him for much less. I personally don't think he should be given another chance in this league. He has had about 5-7 chances depending which legal situations/drug test fails you want to count. If he gets another chance I hope he has cleaned up his life finally.
