Well, this RAIDER vs Bucs game looks like a sexy matchup!! Bucs have tall WRs and the RAIDERS have tall DBs!!
And of course Carr vs Winston, our OL against the Bucs DL, etc,etc!! Has the makings of a good game..

First thing first though?! The Bucs, and they look real good.. Winston is the real deal, and they have plenty of talent on both sides of the ball.. That's not an easy game, in yet another early morning AM game!!

After checking out some early morning news on the Dubs loss..
Is the Dubs season over, are they the most overrated team, KD is a team killer,this team will fall apart, etc, etc, etc.. Lmao, all that after just one loss!! Imagine if the drop another game?!

Couple of things here...

1) While the police down in Texas have said they do think Talib shot himself they have no evidence to go off of other than an assumption. That is why the case was dropped. You can assume he shot himself and honestly I do assume that but in the court of law right now Talib is completely innocent.

2) Aldon Smith has not been completely clean over the past year. There is a video of him and some girl smoking weed together. At least if you are going to hold Talib to that same standard of no actual legal proof then you should hold Aldon Smith to that same standard.

Also if the league does punish him without any actual physical evidence that he did this himself when he told the police and others backed him up on this that some guy ran through their group shot downward hitting the leg of Talib then ran off the league is then superseding the police in this situation. They would possibly be punishing a guy for being at the wrong place at the wrong time and getting himself shot. I mean if some random guy walked up to you, shot you, then ran off and you came to work and they told you that you were suspended without pay because well you getting shot looks bad how would that look?

And again with Aldon you just need to be consistent. No actual proof that Talib shot himself yet you want him punished but hey no proof other than the person in the video saying his name yet somehow Aldon doesn't have the same standard of proof as Talib? Seems pretty hypocritical of you.

Not even sure where to begin with this...

3) If Talib shouldn't be in the league then neither should Aldon Smith. Yes maybe Talib has paid himself out of a lot of trouble but he doesn't have the conviction record that Aldon Smith has. And if you want to talk about gun related charges Aldon is at the top of the list of dumb NFL players with guns. He has gotten a DUI, had a hit and run, vandalism, 3 different assault weapon charges, is on probation, made bomb threats in an airport, been sued for shooting someone before, and there is more but I'll just stop there. So I just don't get why you are getting after Talib and Aldon has done so much worse and actually been convicted of many of the things he has done. He actually shot a guy! And he is not in prison and might be allowed back into the NFL. Neither of these guys are saints but can't sit here and act like one deserves to be in over the other.

That is without even talking about him needing to go to rehab for his drug and alcohol issues. I mean when the team actually tells their star player to go get help because he is losing it that should just show how bad it had gotten. NFL teams usually turn a blind eye to a lot of that stuff depending on the talent of the player but with Aldon they finally reached a point they told him to go get himself right before coming back.

Talib has been suspended in the past by the league so don't think he has escaped punishment completely. And also remember part of Aldon Smith being suspended was more so that he could go get the help he needed in rehab. So that was actually to his benefit not so much the punishment side of things.

So no it is not a double standard. It is the league responding to the police findings. It is pretty obvious that Aldon Smith shot somebody, had illegal guns, started yelling in an airport that he had a bomb, hit and run, and so on. Those are all things that have been proven in the court of law. For Talib it is just not the same.

1) He is not the face of the franchise. That would be John Elway or Von Miller.

2) I've never said that Talib is a good guy. I've said he has been smart when legal issues come his way. He is a great player which is the only reason he still has a job. I don't cheer for the name on the back of the jersey I cheer for the one on the front. I don't have to like every player on the Broncos but I do appreciate his contributions on the field.

3) You really think Aldon has done plenty of time for his crimes? He actually shot a man. Some of the things he has done carry a 10-year prison sentence. Yet he got to go to rehab and have probation. Not saying that Talib hasn't deserved more but come on they have both deserved a lot more than they have gotten.
