Anyway, amazing what a couple games will do to a guy's numbers. Votto is now over .320 with OPS and slugging steadily climbing and an already impressive OBP. It would be nice to see him put together a few series where he is driving the ball like he did this weekend.

Choos has been better than I ever could have dreamed outside of the 2 errors in that 1 game against the Cards.

I'm not sure I'd put Ludwick back in the 4 hole with the way Phillips is hitting. But We also really need a #2 hitter.

I think he'd handle it very well. Phillips would excel in the 2nd spot surrounded by Choo and Votto and Ludwick would fit right in.

And I know it isn't popular opinion, but I'm glad Meso is finally getting his shot to show he should be the everyday catcher. I hope he shows he can hit and they keep him as the starter. Again Hannigan is useless IMO. What is he hitting this year now?

Only because I think he'd do just as well or better at 2. I wouldn't mess with it if Phillips didn't want to move, but I think he'd be okay with it. In the past he's said that if he had his preference he'd bat third - That's obviously not going to happen. But he'd be a great 2 hitter given the guys surrounding him.

I think he would be a great hitter anywhere from 1-5. He is that good of a hitter.

You would think I would learn, but I went over to the espn Reds board again, and it's all the same old shit. Pretty much Bip versus Sluggo. After reading a couple of threads and pulling my hair out in clumps I got the hell outta there hoping I didn't burn off too many brain cells.
