In case none of you are paying attention, our Reds have arisen from the dead, won 8 of 9, and are now 1/2 gm out of second and only 2 1/2 behind the Parrots. I think they're hearing our footsteps.

Good job. And yes, you can see Mesoraco developing into a top-flight catcher before our eyes.

Not sure the offense is ever going to get better. Just too many automatic outs in the lineup, and Dusty is determined to break up Choo and Votto with rally killers batting second. Phillips should move to second and Bruce to cleanup to maximize the offense's potential. Maybe Ludwick will help by year's end, but they are going only as far as the pitching takes them.
