what is the deal with the split upper deck behind home plate at great america? is it open to show a view of the city?

You can see into the park from the Great American Insurance building that is down the street (Race?)

I guess. GABP really isn't all that great of a stadium IMO. PNC in Pittsburgh puts it to shame.

Not been to PNC, but I would much rather watch a game at GABP than Nats Park here in DC. I understand they don't exactly have strong history, but there is really nothing compelling about the park and it just looks like a bunch of concrete and steel.

I should. Our bar tab is going to be scary. And it's an actual tab since we're sitting in the club section (brag)

May as well go with sneaking in booze, considering you'll have access to free mixers. And at least you get all the food you can stuff your face with. I started to sit club a lot before I moved, and I think it's totally worth the price.

It certainly looks like shit on tv. I'll take your word for it.

GABP is fairly lame. It's "family friendly," but alienates a younger crowd....a crowd that spends the most money at these types of events. It's the Cincinnati way, though.

It's the only place we'll sit. I can't be out there with the commoners. I imagine I'll be sitting inside for the majority of the game since its so freakin cold out.

The club ticket prices for reg season are like $90. We got these for $150 so it wasn't bad at all.

I was in Cincy last weekend for the Bengals game and took my first trip to the Banks since they have completed the first phase and was pleasantly surprised. I think if they continue to develop the area down there between the stadiums, it will really help attendance at games, especially with the younger demo.

They just started on the luxury apartments between the 2 stadiums. It's slowly getting there.

We love the Holy Grail. The hamburgers there are ridiculously good. The service is pretty meh, but they're usually always packed.

As I've said all season Mike Leake blows donkey dick. I have no idea why he ever pitches for this team.

Tomorrow will complete the collapse. I don't expect us to score more than 1 run through 8 innings. Latos will be game, but he'll make just enough mistakes to lose. Giants 4 Reds 1.

Chalk it up to bad luck. Our best pitcher is out with a vaginal cramp and our best hitter apparently has been treated by the Bengals training staff. I've never seen a ball player suffer so much from a simple knee clean out.

Votto = Hal Morris right now. It's kinda sad. Our only hitter is Ludwick. If we win tomorrow it will be totally on Ludwick's shoulders.

How dare you criticize Hal Morris?

It certainly is fun being a Cincinnati sports fan, isn't it? The only requirement is you must have a strong chin, because you're going to be tagged on it frequently.

He's strictly a singles hitter now. His average is good post-knee so maybe he can get himself on base for Ludwick or Bruce. Of course they'll need to homer to get him in unless he finds himself on 3rd base. I'm just hoping that Votto gets back to 100% for next year. A lot of dough to be paying a 1B with no power.

Kenyon Martin, Kimo VonOelhoffen, Johnny Cueto:::: and the hits just keep on coming.

Actually, I'd rather have Latos pitching this game than Cueto. But the long term for the next series without Cueto is going to be hard to overcome, even if they win today.
