My family is a family of 4.
The main reason I don't go is because the kids have peanut allergies, and they are still a bit young to guard themselves I guess. That, and they can't sit still long enough to watch a baseball game yet.

The money does bother me a bit, but I would like to go to 2 or 3 games a year at least.
I'm not in the bad shape of only making 10$ an hour, but I used to have that trouble.

And servers at busy restaurants need to be rather good at what they do. If you mess up orders or forget your customers, then your ass is going to go back to scraping the grill at wendy's.

When I was in college I used to attend 15-20 games a year. Marge owned the team back then and you could always get the 'ole $3.00 Top Six ticket and move down to some open seats in the green level. You could also park over in Kentucky for a buck and hotdogs were $1.50. Beer was still hard to afford, but if you hit a happy hour before going to the game and then paced yourself at the game you could still make due on whatever meager earnings you were getting from crappy jobs.

And this is really it for sports in general, not just baseball. It's become a young mans thing and an "older" mans thing. Those men in the middle with bills, family, kids, etc...they're lucky to get out to 2-3 games a year, max, with their families.

Sports in general have lost that middle aged family because of TV and coverage. It's just too easy, and cheap, to sit down at home with the family and watch the game in total comfort. While the younger/freer and older freer fans are the ones making up most of the attendance now, a long with those 1-2 games a year family trips.

The Reds have too many hitting holes in their lineup-Stubbs, Hannigan, Heisey when he starts, plus the pitcher's spot. The bottom of the lineup is a black hole. On the pitching side, they have a very good #1, and then a bunch of #4s, depending on if Latos gets it together.

I think Latos is a legit 2 and Leake is not bad at the back of the rotation. They really need to figure out what to do with Chapman. If they could have converted him to a starter, they would have been in much better shape.

Agreed. I think the future 1-3 spots are pretty good with Cueto, Latos, and Leake.

Chapman could be a clear cut #2-3 starter just based on stuff. If he ever works out his control (as he has so far this year) and maintain that, he's another legit #1. Of course, right now, he's in the 'pen until Bray can go more than 1 or 2 days without needing a day off, and Masset returns.

If the over/under for the season was set at 79 wins (last season's total), what are you guys taking? I'll take the under.

Not looking good. The offense just has too many holes. Somebody needs to start hitting besides Phillips, Votto, and Bruce.

The last over/under I saw (before the season started) was 87.5 for these guys......I'd take over 79, but I wouldn't go over 84-85......

Does anybody know why in the hell Todd Frazier couldn't make this team? He had an awesome spring, and we have no pinch hitters at all......Willie Harris sucks......

Cozart leads the team in average.

Phillips has not been hot..he's around .200.

Votto is at .300 after going 3-4 so far today, but coming into the game, he wasn't all that hot.

Bruce and Cozart have been the only two consistently hitting.

They'd rather have him playing everyday at 3B in AAA so that when Rolen goes down in mid May, he'll be ready to come up and play full-time.

He wasn't going to get a lot of AB's off the bench, and who knew that it would be BP going down early with an injury costing him 3-4 games where Frazier could have been used off the bench or at 3B with Cairo moving over to 2b?

To make matters worse, he got bumped for a reliever they picked up on waivers who blows.

If Frazier were up, he'd have already been used.

Either to start the game in place of Rolen...or as a PH in place of Rolen.
