Kramer is a huge fan of Heisey. I'm sure he'll be thrilled.

Heisey is not a good everyday player but he is a hell of a pinch hitter. Always makes me wonder why he can't carry it over into everyday playing.

Reminds me of Michael Tucker from the late 90's early 2000's I believe?

Was great off the bench or a pinch start...but give him the every day job for a week plus and he sucked.

No rhyme or reason, but just go with it. Keep Heisey on the Bench and let him do what he does best....be a bench player. Nothing wrong with that. Many a MLB player had a long career doing just that.

He's absolutely the only decent bat on the bench, for sure.....I agree, keep him there, start Ludwig, and move on......

Glad to see they didn't get swept. Offense is going to have to come from more than 2-3 guys for this team to be any good though. So Cozart, Bruce, and Votto are really the only ones hitting. The rest of the lineup needs to get it going. Someone needs to give Stubbs a quick kick in the nuts to get him going it seems like.

I'm not sure Stubbs is ever going to hit. He just seems clueless at the plate. Sure do like Cozart though, so far......

Phipps will be up here one way or another. Either to play some LF if Ludwick and Heisey can't get it done, or to play some CF if Stubbs can't do it (though I don't know if Phipps can play CF, but he could play LF if Heisey moves over).

They also have that Lutz (?) kid who looked decent enough.

Phipps appeared in preseason to be pretty close.......we just have to find a way to get some production from our starting outfield if we're going to contend......

We were at the game today. We sat in the club seats. What an awesome experience...although you pay for it. In the club section you get all your food and drinks included. I had Larosas's, Montgomery Inn, cajun salmon and rice, a hot dog, a pretzel, peanuts, chips, and ice cream lol.

Our bar tab was $102 for 10 drinks total. All told we dropped about $330 for the entire game with gas, parking, tickets, bar tab, and pre-game drinks at the Holy Grail. A fun time was had....and WE WON!

Chapman is filthy! He should be starting.

It was FREEZING out there. We sat inside the entire game and had a terrific view....a luxury from sitting in the Champions Club.

My only concern is that having him start would mean having to tone back his fastball some. He can't be throwing 100 mph for 9 innings. Also, going through the lineup a few times might give guys time to get the timing on him. I'll defer to some of you who follow baseball a little more than me, but he could be better out of the bullpen.

He's already dialed it down. His fastest pitch was 97 mph (ONLY 97) today. I don;t buy into pitch counts or inning limits, either. Guys pitched 300 innings before back in the day. Medical tech. is better. Training is better. Conditions are better. He can start now and be fine all year. He was a starter in Cuba....

He's absolutely unhittable. It's disgusting. He's Randy Johnson.
