Last year, I wasn't confident when Hughes came to the mound.

i was bummed when gomez didnt get a chance to start the inning as it was the bottom of the order and he had a good rhythm and is supposed to be their long guy.

i saw in a report that morris will close today as grilli has worked 4 out of last 6 and 2 in a row. should be interesting as melancon has gone in the last 2 as well.

wilson would be the other option i guess. cant remember if he pitched on friday. think it was just hughes, watson, melancon and grilli.

morris gets his chance to be with the big boys.

looks like pedro had a good AB against LH with 99 heat and drives it to CF. taking that outside pitch to left might have been another HR.

Pedro's looked reasonably comfortable the last couple games. He's starting to go to center and left with the ball, and he's laying off the borderline pitches. I think he's starting to get where we need him to be. The home runs will come soon.

And Melancon just made Bruce look absolutely silly.

I actually went down for a nap during the 7th inning stretch. I paused my dvr and went to sleep. When I awoke an hour later to the dvr starting up again, the mayhem ensued. What a wonderful nap.
