Been saying for years that RBI is over-jetered....not to go completely MPL on everyone, but Runs Created is a much better stat....R+RBI - HR = RC

Runs and RBI are still heavily dependent on those hitting in front and behind you, but RC is a better indication of how a players production translated into runs...

They're all stupid stats, when taken as standalone

RBI's is useless without knowing how many opportunities they have to drive in runs

Runs is useless without knowing who hits behind you in the lineup

But for the record, Yankees catchers have more runs created than Blue Jays catchers this year

Better defense (not that Cervelli was some defensive whiz)
