I could see us bringing him into camp, letting him go in the last rounds of cuts, and bringing him back after week one so we don't have to guarantee his salary.

Unless the market for Red just isn't there and his only option for continuing his career is taking the minimum from us, I can't see him agreeing to it. That is assuming, of course, that the Seahawks are even interested in bringing him back. Theoretically, the Hawks are looking for pass rush help and he doesn't offer much in that department. I also think that they're paying Avril and Bennett too much money to go back to what they did two years ago with Red being the run stopping DE and Bennett and Avril taking turns being the pass rushing terrors on the other side (with Bennett moving inside occasionally as well).

This. If the team was really interested they would have found a way to keep him last year. Its better to cut bait a year to early than a year to late. I love Red and what he did here but the ship has sailed.
