But the point of my post is how much better? He is a turnover machine and that is in RR’s offense. I am not a huge Haskins fan and I’ve said before I think it would have helped him to sit for a couple years but they ate beyond that point now. Allen is not magically getting Wash from 4 to 8 wins. Like I said before I think it’s a push at best. That last thing you need is a turnover machine
Well said.

He played better and showed growth. Much improved ball security than the previous week. More accuracy. Pretty much what youd expect from a raw and developing QB.

What the heck did you expect....throwing deep a lot against the Ravens? Please.

The screens and slants against a good defense (which by the way he moved the ball pretty successfully with this) was the GAMEPLAN), a good strategy by Turner with a young QB.

Stop chasing the next shiny object.

I expected better decision making. I disagree that he was accurate.

Playing average last Sunday is a pretty big step up from how he played 2 Sundays ago, wouldn't you agree?

He didn't turn the ball over that was a plus but mental mistake are still there.

I said more accurate than the week before, granted that’s a pretty low bar. Look he played alright. Not great but alright . We need better out of him and we are not going to get it by benching him

He’s not a finished project. And less mental mistakes than the game before. Baby steps.

He is better b/c he knows the offense. I think we can get to 8 wins this year with good QB play

Serious question Dean. How can you accurately assess with games against the Ravens and the Rams. 2 teams that h e known strong defenses that bring pressure all the time. I’d bet your argument better if he had played with bonehead plays against the D of the boys or Gnats. Which by the way we will see soon how he does.... but not if you bench him right now

I don't think the Eagles, Cards and Browns have good defenses. He didn't play well in those three games. If DH cant light it up against the Boys and Giants then there is an serious issue. Heck the Giants gave the Rams a good game last week. We should compete with good QB play.

How was there a real QB competition? Plus there had to be pressure from Danny to play DH. Allen is further along mentally than DH b/c he played in this offense and Turner knows him better. Why would RR say there is a hook on DH if my point is so out of left field for you? b/c of this off season with covid and no pre season games the smarter play was to start Allen week 1 and see what he could do. If he failed after a month then you go to DH. The fans didn't want to hear that and neither did Danny. Again I want DH to succeed but I have seen nothing in 4 games. In a normal year I would agree and say start DH and ride him out but this is not a normal year b/c of the offseason and the division totally being crap. Did anyone have Dallas at 1-3 right now? they should be 0-4.
if you have hard evidence of that then produce it. allen is not further along mentally at all he made the same mistakes haskins is making if you look at his tape

the thing is do you want 6 win farce or do you want a true competitive team ?

haskins gives us the best chance to win this year and the future

Well they aren’t bottom of the league either. Browns and Eagles have injuries all over the place, and I think you’re being dismissive of ArizonA. The more accurate measure is...did they create pressure effectively and how did DH handle it.

Allen had eight straight losses in Carolina and everybody wants to give him the job because Haskins has lost three out of four. Yep...makes sense...but only in Washington.

Two things you can be sure of on this forum. There will be way too much discussion about the QB(s) and a couple of people = everybody. :pound:
