I had to look up lock. Forgot who he was for a second.

Elway kind of sucks at picking QBs.

When the NFL picks back up, we can do a 1 month AV bet on who has better stats. You can even give me Mark Mangino, if you choose

What the hell no faith that Baker will have a better season than Big Ben? Yeah me either. Speaking of that jackass, no not BigBen. The other jackass Mayfield. I think this is a make or break year for him. He has a lot to prove.

But I still don't like that he said earlier in the year he doesn't need to work with a QB coach. He was dead last in TD to int. ratio & second to last in QB rating. If he doesn't get his head outta his ass he'll look closer to the Mayfield of '19 than the Mayfield of '18.

By your logic Flacco won the Super Bowl in spite of his great defense. Hell the Ravens scored 34 in the Super Bowl

Flacco > Marino

Dilfer > Fouts

When judging QB's I only look at rings.

Well that'e exactly it, his attitude. He has the arm and smarts but when he believes that he needs no help and is above that, usually a failed recipe. When he was a Walk-in at OK , he had a chip and had to prove to the coach that he was a starting QB for the Sooners. Once you lose the hunger, sayonara as they say in OH. He needs to focus and stop shit with ex coaches or players and cut down on the shitty commercials

I think he has the talent to be a good QB. But does he have the desire to put in all the work that goes along with that? Through 2 seasons I'd say he doesn't.

I totally agree that winning % matters, but I think sometimes that is out of your control to an extent. I don't think any one stat is the "be all end all" indicator, but most of them are to at least some degree pertinent
Before the 2019 season, I joked that the Bengals and Raiders were pretty much the same team. Bengals ended up getting hurt in key areas and ended up being the worst team in football. Raiders were middle of the pack. I think there is some evidence that Carr has turned the corner and is an alright QB. He just has to work too hard for his wins.

Raiders were 23rd in big plays last year. Raiders were also 22nd in red zone efficiency. Bottom third in big plays and red zone is a bad combo.

Raiders defense was 31st in red zone efficiency and 31st in giving up big pass plays.

I have no idea how they went 7-9

I think if youre looking at this going forward 3-4 years the only divisions theres a debate in at the top are AFCE, NFCE and NFCS and the NFCS is really only a debate if you think Brees is going to play 3 more years.

Watson
Jackson
Mahomes
Wilson
Rodgers

All of them would clearly be most every GMs choice going forward 3-4 years

I can think of at least 1 GM that wouldn't pick Rodgers

Sure there would be outliers but the 5 guys i listed would all have 80% plus take them imo. I think Dak vs Wentz, AFCE and Ryan vs Brees would all be much closer

I think his own team moving on from him is a bit more of an outlier. Rodgers is pretty squarely 2nd tier.

Probably every GM in the league would take Kyler Murray or Joe Burrow over Rodgers in a heartbeat.

edit - I think I misread what you meant on 'going forward 3-4 years'

Goff 3 points in SB
Garappolo 20 points.

You said there is no argument.....

Can't compare NE's D to KC Do you remember the KC/Rams shootout in 2018 Goff and Mahomes Rams won 54-51?
