Not really worried about Perez. He's just a young pitcher going through the ups and downs so this is normal. He's still going to be a damn fine pitcher if he stays healthy.

Nobody is making excuses. Things don't get fixed overnight or instantly. The offense just isn't producing. I don't think it's any excuses other than it being is what it is.

The offense is in progress of changing. Murphy won't be back next season, Cruz is up in the air but he's a good 6-7 hitter, Elvis should be able to bounce back and new guys will come eventually via trades, FA, or the farm.

Rock bottom? I don't know about you but I remember the state of the Texas Rangers franchise for a few decades before 2010.
