We are both too old to fast forward through life, DT. But I sure can't wait till next April.

How much satisfaction can Houston have in beating up this old crippled team.

After their last few years I believe they are just happy with a W as I would be if the tables were turned tonight even if it is the lowly Stros. Just think people may be referring to us as the lowly Rangers after they pass us in the standings. Damn I feel like this has turned into the Seattle board from earlier in the year

I think moving Soria now makes the most sense, while he has the most value to another team. Before his lack of use causes him to be rusty each outing and other teams don't value him as much

They won't be lowly for long. The Ryan's have their team on the right track and you don't mind their struggles when you know the direction is brighter. We really don't know which direction the Rangers are taking. The people we are calling up are to just fulfill the team.

Probably right here. We now have Neffie for a save oportunity. JD will drag it out. Won't happen till the midnight hour for some team to panic. If it happens.

How far the mighty have fallen...

Rios is gone boys btw. We're not gonna get a lot for him either. Teams realize that we pretty much have to get rid of him in order to make something happen with whatever team we have left, and he's our most tradable commodity

You're saying no one wants Soria? Or we won't get much for him either.

Teams need to pay through the nose to get him. We took the risk, built him back up, and made him a top notch closer again. I don't want him to go.

Did anyone read Galloway's article on JD?

With 2014 failure, Rangers GM has sunk into Jerry territory | Dallas-Fort Worth Sports News -...

There's some things I disagree with, but he also makes a few valid points. I also wanted to add a starter (I said Santana at the time) and a bat (Cruz or Morales) before the year started.

I would like to see Galloway's sources on what Cruz was offered, but if he wanted to play in Arlington for 8 million and Daniels low balled him at 6, he is an idiot and I don't care what all brilliant moves he's made. Even after the draft knowing he had nobody at 1B and no real DH and not much in the pipeline to call up he low balled Morales? Hmm questionable at best

A bit too all over the chart it seems, how could a guy get accustomed to pitching on that kind of sporadic schedule

Exactly. Maybe he does lousy but would like to see what we get from him every 5th day. But I guess we don't have anyone to do what he has been doing for this team.

We do know that based on the Houston leak that they inquired about Mitch and JD said he was off the table. I find that ridiculous. We covet Mitch? Absurd.

He's the long man in the bullpen...there really shouldn't be any kind of schedule... just when you're called on to pitch - ya pitch. lol

Wow, if that is true I have to go back to my original stance. According to Gallo, the DH thing was just a rumor too.

I've been wrong on a lot of my predictions so far this season but one thing I was right about was that it was a mistake not to resign Cruz and that he would have a career season. To find out he would have DHed for us for just a few more million bucks is disheartening.

I will say that I think having Cruz likely wouldn't have us in a much better spot in the standings. Pitching has still been way too bad but it still would be a lot funner to watch a more productive offense.

You do realize Morales sorta kinda sucks right now....right? .219/.245/.541
And he didnt "have nobody" at 1B. At the time of KM's signing, Mitch was still playing 1B.
The day after is when Mitch went down.

As for the Galloway column, I've learned to not believe a thing the guy says. Plus, He's a Nolan guy...what else is he supposed to say?

Mitch is "nobody" as far as I'm concerned. The guy has been treated as an everyday player by this organization and he's not even close to being one.
