No More "Bullpen Failure"
From Scott Lucas:
This forces a focus on quantity, acquiring slightly lesser prospects in greater numbers and hoping someone pays off. That’s not necessarily bad, in and of itself, but unfortunately it doesn’t align with Texas’s current needs. The Rangers already have impressive depth. They also have, with a couple of exceptions, uncertainty regarding which prospects could develop into bona fide rotation members and average-or-better position players. These acquisitions don’t help in that regard, talented though they are. Texas has developed relievers and role players in abundance of late. Developing regulars has been a struggle. Gallo was an exception, and now he’s gone.
