No More "Bullpen Failure"
Oh, that should be fun. 4 more B level prospects on the way. Yippee! We still have Gibson and Kennedy to trade as well!

It would appear the ratings are outdated but I get if anyone is disappointedOh, that should be fun. 4 more B level prospects on the way. Yippee!
I knew as soon as I saw how many we were getting that quality was not part of the package. That, and I really didn't like hardly any of the Yankees prospects when I have looked lately. It is really, really disappointing. First the draft after Leiter and now this. It is really disheartening. It would appear the ratings are outdated but I get if anyone is disappointed
I’d guess Culberson, Holt, Gallo, Kennedy, Gibson, Lyles and possibly Bush will not be on the 40 man at that point.
Will make it interesting who to add
Why the rush I wonder. Had tomorrow and half of Friday to make this trade.I knew as soon as I saw how many we were getting that quality was not part of the package. Way to early to evaluate. El Bombi is a good example. We don't know the final trade structure yet, FYI. Names aren't finalized.
Seems like the Rangers were going for casting a wide net for high ceiling players rather than a couple of high floor guys. A trade like this takes a couple of seasons to accurately evaluate.
Certainly an unexpected trade, and short term the Yankees definitely came away the winner. But for a team that is rebuilding, these kinds of trades make sense. Who knows, this could allow us to flip some players down the road for quality pieces.
For a lot of rebuilding teams that might make sense, but we were already considered one of the deepest systems in baseball. We need a few high quality pieces and Gallo was just about the last chance we had of getting that through trade. We don't know the final trade structure yet, FYI. Names aren't finalized.

Scott Lucas has a list on his site I believeI’d guess Culberson, Holt, Gallo, Kennedy, Gibson, Lyles and possibly Bush will not be on the 40 man at that point.
Who else do we have in the minors coming up for rule 5 draft? Anyone know?

I am sick to my stomach about it.
Then I would have gladly taken the comp pick.I don't think Gallo was going to bring back a high quality piece (A level).
