No More "Bullpen Failure"
He may be retired before MLB has the common sense to implement them.Sometimes I wonder if automated strike zones will hurt Martin Perez..

Thanks for sharing. I have not seen this perspective from himI have thought for a long time that I would like to have Joe Maddon as the Rangers manager.
I hope they give Sam Huff the majority of remaining starts behind the plate.
Let's see if he can get a groove in a regular role.
Isn't his raw power about on par with Gallo?
That is why it makes no sense to keep Garver on the roster and lose Mason Englert or Blaine Crim.He definitely has some power!
If he plays solid defense and hits .240 with 30 HRs I think we would be in good shape at the catcher position.
With Garver though too, it may be hard to find AB. Unless all 3 alternate between DH/C.
420 At Bats for each of the 3
I wouldn’t mind him as manager. These first time managers that the Rangers have hired has not been good.I have thought for a long time that I would like to have Joe Maddon as the Rangers manager.
There are a lot of players that should not be protected. That is why it makes no sense to keep Garver on the roster and lose Mason Englert or Blaine Crim.

We shouldn't have gotten him in the first place he's always been injury prone, but this goes back to putting butts in the seats so it is what it is...That is why it makes no sense to keep Garver on the roster and lose Mason Englert or Blaine Crim.
It just doesn't make sense to limit anyone or have to trade guys away just to keep Garver. If we were keeping a better player for a pennant run then maybe.108 games for each 3 players wouldn’t be bad.
Especially considering they’re catchers.
There’s bound to be an injury as well.
As far as protecting guys, I think there will be trades for a SP and a bullpen arm that will make the 40 man roster squeeze easier to manage
That is very true all across the lineup and with the pitchers as well. That is why we need to keep as many of our top prospects in the organization as possible. There’s bound to be an injury
Man, that depends on a whole lot of things. Mostly, will there be room for him next year? It also depends on, if he does anything close to AAA pitching that he has done so far to AA pitching. Right now, I would think the three current outfielders and Duran and Smith are in front of him.Do y’all think Zavala will make it the bigs next year or is the earliest 2024?

Do the Rangers have the guts to move on from adequate and good outfielders and go with potentially very good to great outfielders? If not, every guy who develops after the positions are full will be treated as if they lost in musical chairs. That will make it rough for guys like Zavaka, Carter, and Morrobel eventually. It may make it rough for Duran and Smith very soon.
They could have had Blaine Crim on here. His August numbers:
