If, or when, the Rangers decide to help the big league club via trade, they can go in a couple of different directions. They could consider only trading prospects, resulting in a limited number of teams who would be willing to trade their big league players for prospects. That might limit their trade market to 10 to 13 teams probably. Or, they could be open to trading their own big leaguers as well as prospects and open up their trade market to maybe twice as many teams.

Yes, and Foscue too. His OPS was .927 with 6 HR.

Yeison Morrobel had a 1.219 OPS in August with just 2 HR.

I want to know what the Dodgers are doing for the pitchers.
They’re somehow reducing the number of hits pitchers allow.
Don’t necessarily see a change in K/9 or BB/9 when a pitcher like Tyler Anderson gets there but his ERA drops from 4’s into 2’s.. H/9 dropped a decent amount though..
team SP ERA is like 2.79. Are they just ahead of everyone when it comes to pitch selection?

I guess the Rangers just need to hone in on each pitchers strengths and weakness.. stop throwing the weak pitches and throw more of the strong.. makes sense lol

I know our fielding is not that great..
Duran makes quite a few blunders at 3B
Seager doesn’t get to a lot of balls he should
Lowe is not that great defensively either..
Outfielders are fast but seem to need better route running

I was thinking you were comparing them more to the league overall than to us.

I have thought for a long time that I would like to have Joe Maddon as the Rangers manager.

Not me. His managing of the Cubs BP in the World Series was some of the worst I have seen.

That is why it makes no sense to keep Garver on the roster and lose Mason Englert or Blaine Crim.

now i don't have the experience of maintaining a team like some here but i can see plenty of deadwood that we can release etc without losing Mason. Crim could be part of a trade package for Pablo Lopez.

within 5 days of the end of the WS, we need to re-sign Martin Perez. Calhoun, Leclerc, Arihara, Moore & Culberson become free agents so we have 6 open 40-man roster spots but Garver, Eli White and Sborz come off the 60-day so we have 3 spots. i count 11 spots on the 40 that don't have a future with the Rangers in Miller, Allard, Alexy, Barlow, Howard, King, Santana, Sborz, Viloria, Ibanez and Sloak which gives us 14 spots to cover our prospects which i see as Jung, Ornelas, Owen White, Winn, Acuna, Harris, Kelly, Bradford, Weems, Engelbert, Wendzel and Crim. that leaves 2 spots. a couple of trades clears a few more spots

Agreed
Lowe isn’t going any where. He just needs to work on his defense more and the team needs to not handicap their defense any further

He definitely has some power!
If he plays solid defense and hits .240 with 30 HRs I think we would be in good shape at the catcher position.
With Garver though too, it may be hard to find AB. Unless all 3 alternate between DH/C.
420 At Bats for each of the 3

that would require each playing at minimum 105 games. i suppose that if Heim & Huff each played 82 games at catcher plus Huff gets games at 1st base. Garver gets 105 games at DH the rest split among the rest of the roster
