That's the Rangers record after that second game against the Cardinals in June of last year.

It almost seems as if the team quit on Bochy after that point, but when they somehow still made the postseason, they played like they are capable and then some.

Some people need to be held accountable for the pitiful performance this season has been. This hasn't been injuries alone that squandered this season. The performance of starting MLB caliber players has been pathetic

Sloppy baseball has become the Ranger way.

Cleveland announcers cannot figure out why Leclerc was concerned about the runner at 1st. Hedges psyched him out because he was bunting. Trying to paint the plate and then throwing the ball away on the pick off to 1st where that guy wasn't planning on going anywhere.

In 2019 we traded Clase and Delino Shields to the Indians for Corey Kluber who pitched 1 inning.

You know the team is in deep poop when Traveras PH for Grossman. There just does not seem to be any care to win

Trading Clase, was another bad trade.
It was worse than bad.

Chris Woodward used to rave about Clase in interviews after the games he closed and said he never saw anyone throw 99mph with that kind of movement while grinning from ear to ear.
He must have been shocked when the trade was announced but couldn’t say squat of course.

I see the Rangers going 13-18 from here on out. 73-89

It looks like the Nationals might catch us in the lottery standings. They are a game worse than us right now. I doubt any of the rest of the teams can catch up to us.

Profar hitting 291 with 21 HRs and 79 RBIs hit a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 8th to tie the game and the Padres won in the bottom of the 9th. Glad Profar is having such a good year.

This was Drake's first AA after being promoted. He did make an emergency start there earlier this year.

From The Prospect Times:

Kohl Drake's final line tonight:

- 6 IP
- 0 R
- 1 H
- 1 BB
- 6 SO
- 2 groundouts
- 5 flyouts
- 78/49 strikes

As a starter this year, Cody Bradford has a 2.49 ERA over 47.0 innings pitched, an 0.85 WHIP, 42 strikeouts and an opponent batting average of .191.
Outside of the strikeout numbers, his performance is on par with deGrom pre-injury last year.
He's dominating in such a way that few Ranger's starting pitchers have in a long time.

His numbers last year once he shifted to the pen were nearly as good, also.
As a reliever last year, he had a 2.82 ERA over 22.1 innings, 0.72 WHIP, 21 strikeouts, and opponent batting average of .188.
Additionally, he had an 1.17 ERA over 7.2 innings, with roughly an 0.56 WHIP in the postseason.
Obviously pitching in relief vs starting and facing the same lineup 2-3 times is an apples to oranges deal, but the numbers are impressive nonetheless.

They should throw Leiter in the White Sox series. Worst offense in baseball maybe gets him some confidence.
