I've seen McCann, Baustista, Encarnacion, Dunn, Pence & Stanton all mentioned so far today

Reality is... wont get any of them.

Although, the mention about the Rangers offering up 4 players (which made the Marlins consider it and talk to Loria)...is a good sign.

Where are you seeing all that because MLB Trade Rumors is just kind of blah as far as the Rangers are concerned.

So lets assume TEX makes no moves today for COF help to offset loss of Cruz ... Murphy's lack of production ... and a pending retirement by Berkman.

What are the potential internal solutions?

Only guy I see at AAA that might qualify as a COF fillin is Joey Butler to bridge until Cruz returns ... and Chirinos as a third catcher in Berkman's roster spot to free up AJ to DH full time.

Any other 'in house' fill in ideas?

McCann was yesterday (apologies). Stanton rumor was from Newberg's COFFEY this morning.

Interesting: Knobler reports that Texas "went so far as to make a four-player offer for Stanton, according to one source, who said the offer was strong enough that the Marlins front office considered it worth pursuing. [However,] Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria, the source said, quickly put an end to any talk of a Stanton trade."

Just heard some guy on MLB Network say that the Jays won't move either Bautista or Encanarcion. Disappointing as that might be, it makes perfect sense.

Same guy says that Cruz is likely to appeal any possible forthcoming suspension and doing so could enable him to play while the appeal is pending.

Just hearing now that Cruz may not accept a MLB suspension.

Wonder if TEX has told his agent that it would be willing to resign him for 2014 with the 50game suspension still pending.

Shoot ... we worry about Cruz being out for 50 games at the beginning of next year ... when Murphy was absent without leave for over 80 games just about every season.
