Series Thread: Rangers Play Three Games in Washington Prior to the All Star Break July 7-9

This team has no business trading for rentals. If this continues after the break, then they have no business trading for anyone.

I think they need to move Lowe and Garver if they can get anything at all and blow up the whole bullpen besides Chapman and Smith and forget anything else because this team isn't making any noise in the second half and doubt they make the playoffs and if they lucked in, they would be gone in the first series

Corey Seager, Jonah Heim, Nate Eovaldi, and Aroldis Chapman are the only ones who haven’t faltered or gone completely in the tank.

Maybe their early season play was a mirage and they’re not as good as their 1st place record.

But they’re also far too talented to be playing THIS badly. This current version is the worst team in baseball by a mile. They’re not just losing, they’re getting blown out in most games. And they can’t execute in any facet of the game. It’s like they heard that deGrom was lost for the season and all just gave up hope and quit executing.

I don’t think the early season was a mirage but what we’re seeing now is well below what the talent level calls for

Who plays first? If they were to put Lowe on the market teams would be happy to give the Rangers a couple low level prospects to get him in their lineup and laugh all the way to the bank

Jung has contributed to this slide with some really poor at-bats with RISP. But he gets a pass because he’s a rookie and has been good otherwise.

In the present state of this team and with 15 games left in July this team will be nothing but a spot on Houston’s rear view mirror and possibly Seattle’s too on August 1st. And it’s possible that the Angels will be closing fast on us for 3rd place in the west

The game was over long before that. This team needs a major shake up in the line up and Bochy needs to stop cottling them and be the manager

Even if the team could put together another good stretch like they did a little while back, something like this skid could raise its ugly head at any time. We need less streaky hitters and more consistent ones.

I have always been a huge fan of Blaine Crim, but as well as Huff is hitting I think he would be brought up for 1B if Lowe is injured or traded. Of course, knowing Bochy, he would put Duran at 1B to give Grossman more opportunities, and whoever they brought up would rot on the bench.

Miami has been outscored by 9 runs and they have the same record as the Rangers.

We haven't been the same since the game we rested up hot hitters for the series with the Rays. That series was set up to be like a postseason series and when they lost the series it was almost like the season was over -- almost.

Goldschmidt won’t get far from St Louis he loves it there
