Series Thread: Rangers Play Three Games in Washington Prior to the All Star Break July 7-9

We haven't been the same since the game we rested up hot hitters for the series with the Rays. That series was set up to be like a postseason series and when they lost the series it was almost like the season was over -- almost.

Bullseye. We need a lineup shift and Bochy seems hesitant to do it

I have always been a huge fan of Blaine Crim, but as well as Huff is hitting I think he would be brought up for 1B if Lowe is injured or traded. Of course, knowing Bochy, he would put Duran at 1B to give Grossman more opportunities, and whoever they brought up would rot on the bench.

I still think if we make any positional moves it will be a better LF’er who would rotate with Duran between LF & DH. With Grossman & Jankowski subbing for them & the other outfielders. Garver would sub for Heim & Smith would provide days off for Jung, Seager & Semien

Like I said recently, I’m not sold on Sborz. Leclerc is pitching better though.

About the only bullpen arms I have faith in are Chapman, Smith, Anderson & barely Burke

I would concentrate on the three RP’s. Need a solid 7th/8th inning guy and a solid closer.
Smith and Chapman are your solid 8th inning guys and can sub in when the closer is not available.
Bring up Tepera after ASB and see how he does.
If Sborz doesn’t get it back together in the next 2 weeks include him as trade bait.

Rangers just got a gift from the Tigers. Langford is an absolute beast.

Langford was clutch in College WS. Good feel about this one. His stats are great. Big power 446 ft HR. Good eye. He makes it up quicker than HS guys
