Yeah, that should be the goal. Anytime you’re facing an ace, you know you’re most likely not going to put up huge numbers. So you work counts, foul off and foil pitches, get him out of the game by the 5th or 6th inning, and maybe scratch out a run or two to give your team a chance.

Swinging at 3 balls in a row in the dirt or weakly
grounding out on the first pitch is the exact opposite of that. Also, Grossman has been ironically our best hitter today.
