Evan Carter is the one I'm curious to see play considering he can also pitch as well as play OF, a lot of people thought he was a reach in the 2nd round so we'll see...

Everyone that has seen him seems to be impressed with him.

The one I'm curious about here is Davis Wendzel since he's basically skipping A ball and is going to play SS...

Another one is Josh Stowers with his speed on the base paths, seems to have a decent bat, but how good will he be in CF???

There are multiple guys in the lineup that I prefer to be up with men on instead of Gallo. He's just not inspiring anymore.

History is going to show the Rangers were exactly right to lowball Rendon.

that email must have gone to my spam folder
I think Mac Murph and Dave are trying to cover for him as it must be terribly embarrassing for a guy who has done so well in the past. Not much else the org can do except cover for him until he gets it together or not. Hope he does but have serious doubts.

He will have his days but I think you are right. We have had a history of getting excited and acting to fast.

Are you saying that now because of his numbers for 2021 through 39 at bats coming into this game? Or, does it not matter how well or how poorly he is hitting?

I've gone on record from the beginning that I was 100% against signing Rendon full stop. I think he's on the downward slope of his career. 2021 is a small sample size, so that's not what I'm basing my opinion on. I wouldn't be surprised if he has 1 or 2 good/decent seasons left in him, but I think those last 3 (2024-26) are going to a nightmare, and he'll be making $38.5m for each of them.

I'm just glad the Rangers won't be the ones paying him for that.
