Is there any question whether JD is the best GM in baseball?
Hasn't been any doubt in my mind over the last 5-6 years

Jonathan Lucroy on trade: To go from that to this is pretty special. I never thought in spring training I'd be doing this this year.
Jonathan Lucroy on Cole Hamels: He knew he needed a good game to get it done today, and did what aces do.
Think Beltre allows Banny to give him a day off tomorrow.

Congrats to the Rangers on winning the AL West! Gotta appreciate this accomplishment regardless of how October plays out. But of course, like everyone else here, that night in St. Louis looms large until we win it all. Now I want to see Yu bury these guys tomorrow. Gotta get that 1 or 2 seed.
And with all due respect to JD, he is a good GM, some moves work, some don't. But best in baseball? Theo Epstein has multiple rings and may get another this year, with a team he built from scratch. And Brian Sabean has done some amazing things in SF. Gotta win at least one ring to be in that conversation.
I'm sure some people will think it's crazy, but I think it might be better to get the 2 seed as long as the Red Sox are #1. We would play the Indians at home. I'm not saying the Indians are a cake walk or anything, they could beat us, but the team who emerges from the wild card could be tougher then the tribe. I'd say the Blue Jays, Mariners, and Tigers are tougher than Cleveland right now.
